Yukkuri Sisters Story

-------------------------

Little Reimu had always desired a younger sister

Her poor frail mother could only endure growing a single koyukkuri stalk.

Little Reimu has always been alone. She oh so desired a little sister to share her love and company with.

Days often passed where little Reimu glanced enviously at other yukkuri families and their many cute little yukkuris.

It is not surprising that when Little Reimu saw another stalk growing out of her mother, her heart was filled with joy.

With this, I finally have my own sister, Little Reimu thought to herself.

However... it was a short lived sweet dream.
Fate had it that her frail mother would experience a sudden deterioration in her health one day.

Things reached the inevitable conclusion and so, without any kind of preparation to care for her, lil' sis Reimu fell into this world prematurely...

lil' sis Reimu crashed into the soil. Her skin was loose, and her movements without any real merit. lil' sis Reimu could not walk. She could only shake around, endlessly wobbling around in one place.

Furthermore, what met the eyes of Little Reimu wasn't a curious googly eyed glance from her newborn little sister. What met her was an empty and hollow stare, glancing endlessly towards the sky.

Furthermore, what came out of lil' sis' mouth wasn't a spoiled tone of a yukkuri demanding to take it easy. What Little Reimu heard was something that couldn't have been anything other than a broken cry of an animal.

What Little Reimu expected in her dreams violently crashed with this terrifying image.
Little Reimu slowly came to a painful understanding.

I'm actually kind of busy, so I was planning to post some tomorrow, but here's a quick one.

Anon has trained a Reimu-Marisa pair, and keeps them at home. One day, he finds an Alice stuck in a box on the side of the road, with a sign on the box saying "please take care of me". It says that if he lets it out, he'll allow him to take it easy. He decides to experiment with it. He takes it to the Eientei to get Eirin to neuter it (a process involving plunging her fingers into its cheeks and putting some sort of cream in the wounds). He then takes it home, and the Reimu-Marisa pair are horrified. (Normally, when Alices rape another yukkuri, they do so until it rots away. Also, the misconception that yukkuris raped by Alices only give birth to Koalices is due to the fact that Alices eat/rape/both any non-Alice babies.)To show them that it's harmless, Anon lets it rape the Reimu. In the end, they both get refreshed, even though Reimu was horrified at first. Alice is quite perplexed; why are my babies not getting born? (It wanted to rape them.) Long story short, over the course of two weeks, it starts enjoying "refreshing" less and less, and becomes obsessed with making babies.

>> No.1109115

>>1109110
Needless to say, its continuous failures, despite getting refreshed all day, even in threesomes, are making a mess of its psychology. In the end, it can't even get refreshed, and spends the latter week unable to do either. It eventually snaps, and starts raging around, spouting unintelligible words. The other two yukkuris, who now consider it a tool for refreshing, decide to do something new, and rape it. (Until now, Alice was always on top.) In the end, Alice actually gets refreshed, and sprouts a twig. (It can't make other yukkuris pregnant, but it can get pregnant itself.) It immediately destroys the twig, and drops into a catatonic state. Anon keeps it alive by stuffing grass into its mouth.

For the curious, this is what yukkuri sex sounds like:
"haa haa...I'm gonna get refreshed...I'm getting refreshed...NHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

And another short one.

Marisa has just finished gathering mushrooms from the FoM, and chances upon a Yukkureimu with four kids. A perfect opportunity to test these mushrooms. She invites them home, and feeds them the mushrooms. She leaves them in the room, and goes back to check on them an hour later. They are obviously unable to take it easy. Marisa begins taking notes of which ate which mushroom, and what the effects are. One of them is paralyzed, another is blinded, another is having a weird hallucination involving an Alice and "I don't need any more babies!!!", and the fourth has fallen into a vegetative state. The mother states that they can't take it easy like this, and Marisa tells it to take its kids into its mouth and go home. It does.
-I han'h hahe ih eahy lihe his!!!
-Then why don' you try jumping?
-Ohay, yhu--------KU!!?
-What?
-...Miss, did you know that this would happen?
-What?
-My babies...in my mouth...crushed...ALL OF THEM!!!
Marisa only said that the mother would take it easy.

So the whole psychological trauma and guro thing as been bothering me for a while, despite my attempts to encourage myself to step back and take it easy. I never really could put together why I couldn't shake these thoughts until this afternoon.

Often, when one anon expresses some sympathy or an unwillingness to kill or abuse yukkuris, another will chime in with "Well what if they were in your house eating/breaking your things, calling it theirs, etc."

I finally made a mental connection. Yukkuris show no respect for authority, they carelessly break things, they're selfish and self-centered, they're full of energy but easily injured, they whine and cry and complain when they don't get their way, their appearances are disproportionate parodies of people, they eat and grow like crazy, and people can't resist pinching their cheeks even though they hate it.

Then I realized that everything in that list is an accurate description of a normal human child below a certain age.

I think that horrible torture and abuse and suffering actually do work as powerful devices when they're part of a story, that actually builds up and has some kind of climax and conclusion, be it the good feeling of seeing the hero overcome all that, or the catharsis of the tragic ending.

What I dislike is the idea of taking pleasure in abuse itself, or just the concept of abuse for abuse's sake.

I wouldn't call that a justification for bullying. If they existed, they'd be considered pests and would be mercilessly killed. Since they're edible I'm sure people would eat them, but I doubt real life people would torture them, even if to make them taste better. You only see the torture in these stories because they're stories. They certainly don't deserve to live, of course.

I view yukkuri not as an example of prior-to child-rearing but as a metaphor for the various, the un(der)-effective, the neglectful, and the overcrowded mental health care systems. I say this and I come from New Jersey, purportedly the cream of the crop state for my respective nation's autistic health system.

Here's another good one. The best yukkuri situations are the deconstruction of the family or loss/altering of accessory ones. Hope this gets translated. It's found here:

So we're saying they're like mentally retarded children, which is pretty much consistent with how we've described Yukkuris all along. However, we don't torture and murder the mentally retarded. In fact, IN AMERICA . . . I believe we specifically forbid the penalty of death to the mentally disabled, no matter how severe their crimes. However, it does seem to be the first impulse of the young to laugh at and bully them.

The intellectual capacity of the Yukkuris is really in a constant state of flux depending on what the story calls for. They'll be as stupid as they need to be to fall for a trick, forget a recent event, or show a lack of common sense . . . however, they're also as emotionally and intellectually complex as they have to engage in psychological drama . . . or to sing the latest silly parody song.

I suppose the lack of any 'reality' with regard to Yukkuris is another sign that we should avoid any serious 'debate' and just take it easy. If one author says they're stupid and deserve to die, then they do. If another says that their lives have value and they deserve to live, they do. This whole mess is whatever we each decided to make of it.

Perhaps the same could be said for all stories with humans in them.

I personally think it shows that deep inside, we do enjoy claiming and exercising superiority and power over others. The strong can do whatever they want to the weak, and there's nothing as weak as a yukkuri.

I guess if you have that desire, by all means, get that out of your system in the realms of fantasy. However, you may want to look into where that impulse came from in the first place because I'm pretty sure that's not normal.

I think I can get what he's saying but explaining it would take many more threads than would be worth it.

I guess I could start by saying that Remirya acts just like my autistic brother (21), except with a smaller vocabulary. Down to the tantrums. Down to the obsessive summons for a comfort agent (Sakuya) whether or not it exists in their environment (e.g., wild Remiryas). Down to the extreme fascination and over-consumption to/of a particular food and the destruction of all other food. Down to the insatiable selfishness.

The primary ways they correlate might be that the number of yukkuri in Gensokyo's ecosystem are probably overwhelmingly taxing on it, much like autistic children in health care systems are overwhelming. The few instances where yukkuri are domesticated being praised as examples of actual successes and acomplishments of the "race" parallel how stories of a few children overcoming autism thanks to the system are examples of the system's successes -- ignoring how many autistic or retarded adults are stuck living at home because they can't ven find a niche to fit safely out with soceity and there are TOO MANY of them to be given comfortable housing and meaningful existences, i.e., the few minor jobs that they CAN do safely. How we laugh at them for their ignorances and disabled quirks; how we tend to beat them or harm them for what we perceive as their annoying behaviors; and so forth.

>> No.1110284

I don't like the torture and bullying much. What I do like, in a sick, twisted way, is when they hurt themselves and each other through stupidity or malice. I think it's because when animals do the same thing, they cannot emote. We regard them as 'dumb' and rightly so in many cases. A dog which injures itself is deserving of help, it knows no better and cannot help itself. Watching animals prey on each other, also normal. It's a cycle we can step back from, not consider the animals in human terms.

Yukkuri's, especially the Remirya's endless stupidity and dumb malice, strike a nerve in this vein. It's as if animals could speak and suddenly the horrible, disgusting, but ultimately fasinating nature of the life of something lower than a human is shown to us is all its brutal glory.

>> No.1110290

Yukkuris are less than animals. Killing one would be like killing a giant, head-shaped ant with a bean paste filling. Would you think twice before killing an ant? No.

A yukkuri will EAT ITS OWN CHILDREN. Can you mention an animal that does the same with reasons that aren't survival? No.

Also, they probably couldn't play guitar or sing songs on NicoNico.

If yukkuris are intelligent enough to be deemed sentient, albeit retardedly so, then many will not judge their worth purely from a utilitarian perspective, but from a perspective of their being a 'person' with inherent value.

Oh gourd it's that Engineering Ethics class all over again . . .

Of course, being a creature of fantasy, the yukkuri can clearly be a 'person' or clearly not be a 'person' or reside in some gray area in-between depending on the author's whims.

I believe yukkuris have no survival skills, but surprising depth in their capacity for emotions, relationships, communications. Torturing yukkuris isn't an action with meaning or cause. It's a mindless drive, something humans are not as famous for as animals are. Don't look for a reason in the minds of the torturer, there is none there, look for it in the yukkuri.

The last time I saw something that could make a sane, goodly human being torture and kill, it was called a Greater Demon of Chaos. Gentlemen, the culprit behind this ridiculous meme is not the sick mind of a psychopath, but THE GOD OF BLOOD, KHORNE.

The whole point of the ability to change mentalities is something of a defense mechanism. It tries to offset the rage and anger against it by trying to make the attacker docile.

However, it works about as often as you would expect (i.e: next to never), sometimes actually having the opposite effect, rendering the attacker even angrier then before.

That's actually a pretty good way of explaining Crying Moe.

As a natural defense mechanism, when a Yukkuri is being bullied, it somehow gives the surrounding animals/humans/youkai a present feeling, which makes them docile. The point of making the docile is to get them to stop bullying the yukkuri. The feeling is then connected to the fact that the yukkuri is being bullied, so then people are more likely to continue bullying them. It backfires on them, so to say. This also explains why you sometimes see in Summery Anon's summerys things like "The screaming and crying of Yukkuris helps to relax the workers in the area" which didn't really make sense to me before I thought about it this way.

There could also be an explination for why people like Eirin and Sakuya aren't affect. Sakuya is known for being able to fend off most states of mind with ease (didn't become lunatic seeing the full moon in IN's Final B) Remi is a vampire, and just plain hates them (For good reason) and Reimu doesn't seem immune to it at all, she just values keeping them around as an emergency food source just in case.

So, it's either:

A: Too weak a docile feeling to be effective, just make the aggressor feel better about attacking them

or

B: So effective at bring the aggressor the "good vibrations" (Ooh! Obscene! Obscene!) that the aggressor wants more. So effective, it's ineffective.

I figured that yukkuris were just so incredibly stupid that their psychic field did the exact opposite of what they were trying to get it to do. That's what I had in mind when I wrote that down on the wiki anyway.

Alright, so the attached image was found on a chinese image board. This image board usually yanks shit from pooshlmer or /jp/ and posts it there.

However, this image was posted and it seems new. I can't find it on pixiv or thewaterducts. Where the hell did this image originate from? Image found here:

http://2cat.twbbs.org/~kirur/touhou/imgboard.php?res=101246

The chinese sure like creating a lot of image boards.

-Yukkuri family-

Mom-->Big sis-->Little sis

-Ten minutes later-

U~! U~!

ZDOB IIID!!!

>This also explains why you sometimes see in Summery Anon's summerys things like "The screaming and crying of Yukkuris helps to relax the workers in the area" which didn't really make sense to me before I thought about it this way.

You could interpret it like that, but it's not exactly what I meant. The factory people have an undeniable sadistic urge towards yukkuris (necessary to work in a place where you do all sorts of horrible things to them all day), so the screams satisfy these urges. Against normal people, on the other hand, this theory is quite plausible.

The factory is just a myth made up by the older yukkuri to scare younger ones into complacency. There's no way a place like that can possibly exist.

I bet some people said the same thing during the holocaust.

Anon is returning home from work, dressed in a factory worker's coat so that yukkuris stay away from him. One Yukkureimu, however, bumps into him and screams some unintelligible things about him taking it in exchange for its children. He takes it home, and i eventually explains that its children can't take it easy, so it was planning to give itself to a factory worker in exchange for help for them. Anon is not from the factory, but he's touched, so they go to their nest to see what's wrong. He finds that the koyukkuris are abnormally warm, and recalls that Eirin had said that yukkuri illnesses exist as well, and the yukkurienza is a particularily dangerous one. He takes them all home, and tells the mother to gather a lot of food for them. (Until now, they mostly threw it up.) Anon notes that the eldest sister isn't too badly affected, and it turns out that it had been through the disease when it was young. Anon tells the mother that inside the eldest, there's a medicine that can cure the others. The mother protests, but the eldest offers itself for its siblings. Anon scoops out some of its bean paste (it somehow tolerates the pain), and feeds it to the others. After a few days of repeating this, one of the koyukkuris is finally able to take it easy. The mother and the eldest are ecstatic. They keep up the treatment until all of them are okay. After this, however, the mother succumbs. The children are saddened, but afterwards, some decide to leave on their own, and some decide to stay with Anon, including the eldest, which says "If any other yukkuris get sick, use my bean paste to help them." Anon is now selling medicine for yukkurienza.

Non-good end stories coming up soon.

To whom? To people with yukkuri pets or to the yukkuris themselves?

Whoever needs it, I guess. I wonder how the yukkuris would pay, though. By the way, should we make a new thread? This one is autosaging.
