Will consuming entheogenic substances allow your mind to break through the dimensional barrier and enter Gensokyo?

If the shaman and other spiritual people throughout the world use these plants to communicate with beings outside of this dimension then why can't we use it to open a temporary gateway for our minds to enter into Gensokyo?

>> No.11077211

Just try out lucid dreaming. It doesn't cost you a penny and you don't have to damage your brain.

>lucid dreaming

I tried that almost every night for about a year, but I never had any success.

I don't mind messing up my brain though. I barely use it for anything anyway and seeing residual hallucinations like cute little fairies fly around my room in my every day life would liven things up around here.

>> No.11077345

Normal dreaming.

I've actually tried Salvia on multiple occasions to communicate with people from Gensokyo, but it only works to a degree.

I've had more luck with performing my reality checks in my dreams lately, but not so much luck in actually getting anything to happen once I am lucid.

Only 3 from 100 Touhou dreams now.

Yeah, I feel you. Nearly two years of logging my dreams every night and nothing.

Careful. A trip through the border to Gensokyo doesn't promise that you'll ever return.

I am a practicing Witch, though, not a 'Wiccan'. Entheogens such as psychedelics and mushrooms will take you through the border of active consciousness of your own mind, revealing to you a world of all that which is normally limited to your subconsciousness. You will see much more than just faeries flying around your room; do not take this warning lightly. Your worst fears, your traumas, your insecurities will manifest before your eyes, and there is no "abort" button. Your mental strength will be challenged, and your greatest desires and aspirations that you had forgotten long ago, as well as all that which you had taken for granted, can be refreshed depending upon the way you handle it.

During such an experience, you literally have all of the time in the world to come to terms with your issues. Time will not pass normally until you do.

The actual world is quite different from the way that the world appears to you, or me. The colours of the light of nature's consciousness change when they shine through the filtered lens of human experience, which began the moment the individual 'you' became self-aware.

Do you make sure to do your reality checks on a regular basis?

You may be able to visit the Gensokyo in your mind, but nothing more.

Even if you could get into Gensokyo using psychedelics then wouldn't everyone be made of fractals?

Seeing a Patchouli that looks like this would be terrifying.

who needs gensokyo when you can go anywhere?
>>11077252
dream performance is proportional to your default mindfulness.
meditate, write down your dreams.
in a month you will be a dreamer

There's more reliable ways to enter Gensokyo, so that's probably why there's not a lot of research on this topic.

>> No.11077517

>>11077502
That's a good way to enter "Gensokyo" i.e. floating around the Netherworld (though, iirc they don't take suicides) or find yourself being ferried across the Sanzu River for Judgement.

>> No.11077513

>>11077425
Not necessarily. I think that depends on the substance/person.

That weak boundary we used to be able to punch through and make easy portals with? Gone. Something's happened to it. Our latest batch of explorers can't be extracted and HQ is thinking about pulling the plug on this program for good!

I did very strong ones at high doses multiple times. They are very dangerous if your mind is not in order like mine. I think I screwed up my brain forever by the things that I saw and experienced.

Bullying a bully is self-defense.

>> No.11077649,6 [INTERNAL]

>>11077649,5
Not really. You could just forgive them and walk away. It's only self-defense if you are getting physically assaulted in the moment and you fight back. If you do it outside of the context of immediate danger, you are just using their demeanor as an excuse to derive satisfaction from bullying somebody else. You have to remember - bullies are bullies because they were bullied in the past.

> You have to remember - bullies are bullies because they were bullied in the past.

That's a cliche and not always true. Sometimes the strong just pick on the weak. Then the weak get guns and fight back.
