Doesn't count because Nero and Arturia are different people (in which case you would be correct) or what? Nero is definitely not flat. I don't have any official art saved but she definitely has a bit of tit. Not as much as Tammy, though.

Guessing most magic doesn't work on her, if we're trying to be accurate. Though that seems horribly OP for a racial bonus.

Yeah but with Saber only the strongest magic works on her, period. Even Medea's offensive magic was no good. Her magic resistance is fucking crazy. Shit wouldn't even hurt her, it just kind of dissipated. Also it takes two command seals to force her to do something, that's practically unheard of, even for the Saber class which is always magic-resistant.

That's different than having resistance to fire or ice or whatever. That's why I thought that a bonus like that would be pretty crazy for Skyrim. Maybe something more like Nero had, a moderate magic resistance (because migraines apparently fucked with her ability scores).

>> No.11045478

>>11045458
In Elder Scrolls, if you have magic resistance, you get a percentage chance the spell doesn't work. Bretons, for example, have a 25% chance that any offensive spell cast on them will simply not work. So could just be really lucky, too.

>> No.11045529

>>11045478
Was that ever the case in Skyrim?
I maxed out my magic resistance at 85% (or was it 80%?), and still got fucked over quite horribly when the dragonborn mummies threw spells at me
Fucking caps on everything.
My physical damage reduction, magical damage reduction, and offensive power, was all capped maximum at level 17.

Outside of how you could smith and improve gear to infinity through messy means of aclhemy/smithing, the character had pretty much reached its ultimate potential already.
A couple of levels later the stealth parameters were capped as well.

Just what in the world was wrong with Skyrim? In the previous Elder Scrolls games your character didn't stop progressing in growth around level 20~, and with the vast majority of the game left to explore.
Were they so horribly afraid of "imbalances" that could be exploited, that they gimped the mechanics so hard to the point where you could no longer grow?

>> No.11045571

>>11045529
as much as this is thrown around as a meaningless insult it was desigend to be more casual than other elder scrolls games and part of this was adding caps and what not to the game

There's no way you can max your damage reduction at level 17. I haven't played it in a year but I remember that alteration makes you nearly invincible.

>There's no way you can max your damage reduction at level 17.
It's very possible. Heavy Armor provides you with tons of armor. Tons of it.

So play a Breton. +50 Armor and 50% magic resistance.

Scourge the Dwemer ruins a bit and get your hands on some ingots. Smith whatever until your smith skill reaches 30 and can smith yourself a full set of Dwemer armor. Improve said armor to Exquisite level when your skill reaches 40.

Take the Well Fitted perk a 25% Bonus to your armor rating.
Take the Juggernaut perk 3 times for 60% extra armor rating.
Get the Ancient Knowledge Ability from the Unfathomable Depths quest.

Now all you need to do is kill a few Mammoths enchant some moderate +16~ Increase Heavy Armor on 3-4 equipped items.
And voila! You reached the damage reduction limit, and you aren't even level 20. Your smithing and enchanting skills might be might be mediocre/average at best, but your set of Dwemer armor maxed out your damage resistance even though your heavy armor skill is in practice only moderately good.

4 heavy armor perks. One set of tier 2 armor. Some lousy smithing and some lousy enchanting.
The Lord Stone, one Dwemer related quest. With the majority of the perks left to be learned in the related skill trees.

And just for the heck of it. Enchant Resist Magic on your shield or something and you should have about 63% Magic Resistance.
From here you can improve this rating to its maximum value in a multiple number of ways, such as actually getting the Magic Resistance perk of the Alteration skill tree. Getting your hands some better Magic Resist enchantments. Get yourself some more armor and trade an Increase Heavy Armor enchantment for another Increase magic Resistance enchantment.
Or you know, just complete The Book of Love quest and get the extra 15% Magic Resistance from the Agent of Mara effect.

Constant 80% physical and magical damage reduction, at nothing but level 20~.

>> No.11048052

>>11047968
What does the game even want the 4 tiers of armor beyond Dwemer for?
Frankly, spending your perks on learning the armor perks is a complete waste. You can easily max your damage resistance anyway.

Also. Fuck unarmed combat. It's impossible to improve, and the perk that increases its damage thanks to your gauntlets doesn't even care if you improve them through smithing or other means, and is completely independent from your armor skills or anything of the like. The damage simply won't improve.

Magic is also a joke. Casting spells for free is silly when the power of the spells themselves doesn't increase. It just gives you more of the sub-par shit.

Sneak and your stealth value also caps out very easily. And what's more there (used to be) a bug that even made any buff beyond the stealth cap, a negative penalty instead. So not only did it make it impossible for you to improve your sneak further (no 100% chameleon anymore), attempting to do so would even make you less stealthy than not even attempting to do so in the first place.
Granted that was a bug, but even with it fixed your sneak skill easily maxes out and won't improve. That entire branch of the skill tree is more or less useless until you get the 100skill perk.

Skyrim really was stupid. Just how they could mechanically wreck the game so hard I don't even know. What's the fun in building and growing/levelling as a character if it won't be able to continue growing for about 70% of the game?
