Most of the time fully grown women and men in video games have gross designs. Little girl designs and outfits and whatnot tend to be very cute, because that's what little girls are. It used to be novel when it came out, until people realized it was just the terrible quest-level grind that most MMO's are cursed to use, trying to offset it with a dodge mechanic in combat, essentially. It was a sight for sore eyes though.

Nowadays, the devs have introduced elements that pander to the lowest common denominator just so they can keep player numbers up, I assume. Ellins have school swimsuits and maid outfits, while other races seem to get lavish bikinis and such. You can buy different mounts that give you bonuses other than movement speed. There's a strongbox and real-money key purchase system in place and you can buy xp and gold boosters and such.

It pretty much shed every single bit of pride it had as an MMO just to keep its player count up. But hey, if you like Ellin wearing swimsuits or maid outfits, then I guess this is the perfect venue to relieve yourself after you shell out the thirty or so dollars it takes to buy one.

I get slightly upset when I hear about TERA.

Beta was so fun but then post-launch was so shitty.

The devs are determined to drive the game into the ground and make as much money off it as they can,

It's a shame because having an MMO where I could play as a loli was great fun.

It also ran like a piece of shit too.
People need to stop using fucking flash-based UIs in their games, it is a resource hog and is fucking shit.

Planetside 2 uses a flash based UI.

At one stage when you entered a vehicle the vehicle UI would reduce your fps by 20-30 frames.

Turning off the UI at any point in TERA of Planetside 2 would give you a huge boost to your framerate.

There are much better choices for UI.
The flash based Auto desk shit is just flashy and horrible.

Just for a divergence of opinion, I don't think the UI is bad. I found it to be intuitive when it came to using skills and finding specific types of monsters on your map. I never had slowdowns or such at any point on the game, and if I did, the UI is the last thing I would've blamed.

Also, the game never crashed on me. No "errors and glitches", or anything like that. It was always flawless. Though don't get me wrong, I still don't think the game's good, it's just really boring, but its faults are definitely not in the UI or engine.

Clearly you have no fucking technical expertise at all.

UI design =/= UI backend

I can look as flashy and intuitive as fuck (and dont get me wrong, the UI design was fine)

But any UI using flash as a basis for it's elements has to have VERY good coders in order to get it optimized (which is hard to do because flash is shit and terrible to optimize).

The team behind the UI was awful, whether you found a problem or not doesn't matter because it WAS a problem and it was something that was patched many times since the earliest betas.

It's alot better now but back in the day toggling the UI off would give you a 30+ fps boost on some systems.

Yeah, of course I don't have expertise. I'm not a developer, I'm a consumer. I never stated anything I said as a fact for every single instance of the game that runs on a computer that isn't mine.

The game ran fine for me. I didn't experience slowdowns while using the UI. It didn't crash. I never needed to turn my interface off just for the game to be playable. I think the statement that the UI was badly optimized and you gained 30 fps by turning it off is a lie because I played during the open and closed betas, bought the game when it came out and I never had a problem with it.

I would be willing to argue that your computer is old and outdated, and frankly I would accept that as an excuse, but then again, you can chalk it up to your expertise again and tell me it's all flash's fault or something. I guess I won't argue against that because I'm just a user.
