hey /jp/ would you guys recommend getting a psp or a vita for weeaboo games? I really want to play iM@S and other stuff on PSP, but I heard that the vita is replacing it and they won't make more stuff for it.

Check craigslist for a cheap PSP, I just looked and found a PSP go for $50 near me. After that hack it and just pirate all your weeb games. I played a bunch of import games myself, Haruhi, sora no otoshimono, toradora, black rock shooter, and some other VNs. You can basically find any import game through torrents.
Though if your a box art collector like me your probably going to want to import eventually, which right now is no longer a option for most games. I got lucky finding a toradora limited edition box on eBay for a decent price.

iM@S is my primary goal, anything else is gravy. i've kinda always wanted to play a final fantasy game and I think psp has those. whatever else that's translated I can pick up will be nice too.

1000's are less likely to brick but 3000's are half as heavy and much more comfortable to play for extended periods of time, the battery also lasts much longer.
I don't think idolmaster is fully translated though, unless the wiki is out of date.

I'm not sure about the exact differences between the PS3 and 360 versions of im@s but I was under the impression the PS3 ver included a lot of the DLC and such.

As well as the fact that the PS3 is a lot more popular with Japanese devs in general so if you're interested in JRPGs and things there's always those on PS3 too.
