Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F, will be released in North America and Europe this August for the PS3.
The game will have 38 songs and over 90 clothing materials.
It will be released on PSN for both regions, and North America will also have a retail release.
A demo will be released in June 11.

Yeah I'm quoting from /v/, but I'll probably get a better answer here. What happened with iOS iM@S? Was it all redone in english or something?

It costs $55 per game, although it wasn't done by Namco of America but Namco of Japan I believe hence the price.

I preordered the Japanese version and I've played it a fuckton but I'm going to buy the Europe PSN-only release just to support Miku games in Europe. I never thought a Western release of a Miku game would actually happen

Anyone know how that song list compares to the Japanese one? Wikipedia says there's 44, but 4 are AR only, and one is DLC and one is tutorial only, so that would add up to 38 normal songs, assuming they're not counting those others.

Miku is far less 'manufactured' than most human pop stars, ironically enough. That may sound weird, but it's true. Miku is a tool. A singing synthesizer computer program that anyone can purchase and make music with. The songs you will find in this game were all written by individual fans and freely shared online. Miku is driven by the fans, not some corporate entity. The vocaloid community is incredibly open and always collaborating on different projects. These are creators, not just consumers. It's a very neat cultural phenomenon and dismissing it as being about a pop star really doesn't do it justice.

As a long time Bemani player, the Project Diva series is seems pretty easy/boring but I'm strangely excited by this. Maybe because Konami fails at localizing their rhythm games for the west, and this actually seems promising. I might use edit mode to redo Secret Police and Senbonzakura with the チィム☆dmp versions though.

I love Vocaloids to death, but I don't like Project Diva. Most of the stuff in the games felt underwhelming compared to fan made videos.
Also, the first one had frame rate issues.
The models in Dreamy Theater looked bad, like plastic, not sure how to describe it.
