The reason that Koishi is attractive is her state of semiexistence. She could be in the room with you right now, and you would never know. She barely exists, and acts in pure impulse, making her almost a feature of nature then a living thing. She is like a mountain, strong and standing, but not directly affecting it. She is always on the side of your vision, and when you feel like you have to walk a different way for no reason, that could simply be her wanting to walk by your side for a little longer, a little moment in her own way. She could be the reason why some days you just smile and laugh, you don't know right? If she hurts you, there was no malice, it was simply chance, like an atom decaying and the gamma ray it emitted giving you cancer. Koishi could be standing right behind you right now, in fact, you might even feel her hand lightly resting on your shoulder. The taoists call this "wei wu wei", or "acting without doing" and Koishi is an embodiment of this.

Koishi closing her third eye is nothing major when you see it, but when you are lying awake at night thinking, you realize how major that is. She was so hated, so tormented, that she obliterated herself. It was the closest thing she had to suicide. She pushed away all of her loved ones, more or less betrayed her species, and gave up one of the only things that defined her. From Satori's spell cards and dialog, we can guess that the satori rely almost exclusive on their third eye. Koishi destroying hers would be like an artist going blind and cutting off his hands, or chef cutting out his tongue and nose. It would mean giving up all that you know, Imagine how much hate she must have felt to commit such and action, how bullied and despised. The Satori are the hated among hated, and she was driven over the edge to escape it. I wonder as her eye closed and she slipped away into nothing, and her mind dissolved, if her last thought was of her sister, then in was too late. And yet, she still exists, wonder the earth, probably crossing the border into the human world and back again, Walking along side a lonely man walking his groceries home in the rain, following him into his silent, empty house, and as he drifts off to sleep, maybe whispering a joke or an old story into his ear before wondering off to her next destination.

In her ending it features her right after beating on Marisa. Marisa also seems cognizant of Koishi in their interactions with each other. She also gets minimal interaction with the other bigwigs, Reimu, Miko, and Byakuren. She doesn't even fight with Byakuren in either of their stories. Miko is also incapable of hearing Koishi's mind with her ability to knocking that possibility of revelation out.

I'm not too particularly worried about Koishi. Throughout her storyline she seemed to enjoy everybody's attention with the popularity battle thing. She's opening up. Hanging around a flashy type of person also seems to be doing good for her, might also be bad considering Marisa's other traits. A kleptomaniac Koishi would be a very frightening thing.
