Last time I drunk anything other than an occasional beer was on the new years.

I bought a bottle of cheap gin to enjoy some gin and tonic, and decided to taste test the night before.

I polished off the entire bottle even though I only bought it for the special occasion.

How do you guys get away with drinking hard liquor like that? I've tried all sorts of stuff like whiskey, sake, vodka, rum, gin, and just smelling the stuff makes me nauseous. I can't even take a couple of sips from anything before I feel like throwing up. I have to reserve myself to cheap beer and Ice if I want to get drunk. Even a meek dinner table Wine turns me off.

I understand that you're supposed to mix most of it with something else to make a proper drink, but if I can still smell or taste the raw alcohol, I start to feel queasy. How do you do it?

I bought soft wine last week to try it out. It was 10%, but I couldn't finish a glass of it before giving up. I did get a bit dizzy just from that though, looks like it's incredibly easy to get me drunk.

I was part of the homebrewmen movement of /ck/ back in 2009. Since then I've brewed over 100 gallons of craft ale. Some of the best beer I've ever tasted. I even made a kegerator and served 10 gallons of my Fat Tire clone at my brother's friend's party.

Now I just drink light lager, like Bud Light or Bush Light. 24 - 64 oz of beer erry day. Sometimes I make a mixed drink using 4 oz Clamato, 12 oz beer, a teaspoon of cayanne pepper and a splash of soy sauce. It's really good.

I've been on and off SSRI's since I was 16. I take 100 mg Sertraline (Zoloft generic) and 15 mg Mertazapine every day and night, respectively. I haven't had a problem with masturbation.

But when I was taking the anti-psychotic Risperidone at 6 mg a day, I either came in a minute or not at all. Half the time I couldn't even get erect. It was actually nice because there were month-long periods where I didn't even bother with fapping and that made me feel liberated. I stopped taking that it because it was making me gain 10 pounds every two months. When I was off it, but still taking my SSRI's, I began to fap like 3 times a day and they were god-tier faps. Then I went back on 3 mg Risperidone and I've reached a comfortable balance of about 1 fap a day.

Drugs aren't bad, and SSRI's aren't even close to the boner killers that anti-psychotics are.

Alcohol is simply an age-old form of solvent abuse. As a matter of fact, the only way you can get it outside of a bar or a liquor store or what-have-you is as the solvent used in some little bottles of extracts of whatever. You might as well brag on the internet about sucking on whippets. 'Course, I have actually seen people do this, too, "discuss"/brag about using whippets.

Anyway, anything other than corn vodka is pure hangover fuel, and, push comes to shove, it all is just corn vodka with artificial additives in it. They should have to start putting the ingredients on the label, they really should. It really makes you wonder just what the FUCK it is that they really flavor "wine," "coolers," "whiskey," "40's," "Heineken®," "jager," and all the rest of this cheaply-produced total crap with.

Y'all need to pick up a bottle of Hakushu 12 if you can. My favorite Japanese whisky. That said, I normally don't drink much outside of bourbon. Never been able to get into scotch, but the Japanese whiskys can be pretty damn tasty from time to time.

What is the appeal of liquor for most of /jp/?

Living a lifestyle where my main source of exercise is getting up from the bed and walking over to the computer causes me to feel slow and sleepy enough already. Drinking just makes me feel even more retarded.

Stimulants seem to be the natural drug of choice for /jp/. I would expect liquor and other types of downers to be appealing to an overworked salaryman, a construction worker with a lot of aches and pains, or someone else like that, but why would people who mostly just have unlimited free time want to take a drug that makes you feel sleepy and slow?

I drink very cheap American beer like Bud Light and Natural Light. "sin tax" economics. It's only worthwhile to maybe produce and market this trash as premium because its consumption needs to be controlled to avoid a repeat of the "gin lane" phenomenon. Part of the way they eventually settled on controlling it was by taxing the everloving crap out of it, since that also brings money into government budgets. The flavors in all traditional alcoholic beverages, ie anything not alcopops, are flavored from natural ingredients. In the case of beer, it's 100% from malted barley, hops and yeast. Whiskey is essentially distilled beer as it is made from the fermented sugars derived from malted barley mash. Needless to say, you have a very poor understanding of alcoholic beverages.

Sake is my drink. For ones that do better warm, either place the bottle in slightly cooled hot water (use coffee machine, kettle, whatever, but not boiling - glass will break) or place the glass/cup you plan to use in some and pour in the sake to heat it.
It's like liquid gold.

That, or something nice mixed with vodka, is what I usually go for.
