/mu/ is full of shitheads and I figured you guys would probably be better for this anyway. I'm trying to get a friend into foreign music, and I was wondering if you guys had any entry-level Japanese stuff you would recommend. I'm looking for something with a punk-rock sound; something accessible by a person that doesn't listen to anything you wouldn't expect an average American to listen to.

All pretty solid bands, and with the exception of ACIDMAN they all have several songs in impeccable English. Someone who's otherwise skeptical of Japanese music could probably find something to like from at least one of those bands and it'd be a good way to ease them in.
