Even with a stick you still move in 8 directions at the same speed.

Keyboard or D-pad is best because it's easy to tell what's "on" or "off" and to change directions quickly.

GFW uses it for continuous shooting. Ten Desires uses it to activate trance mode. May the counter-bomb be with you if you confuse one for the other in a tight spot.

madcatz ps3 fightpad. Nice on thumbs, works on most pc games/doujin, and fighting. Have L shoulder button as shot, and everything else on the face buttons.

I got used to playing with a controller for Dangun Feveron and DDP in MAME, but I just use the default keyboard controls for 2hu because I played too much without a controller.

And as 2hu isn't a fast-paced shooter it's more than okay.

Most world record holders and players in Japan use a gamepad or joystick. I only know of a few top players that use a keyboard. What you should be using is up to personal preference and comfort though.

old hori i got from my uncle with seimitsu stick and push-buttons. once you've used a joystick for shooters and gotten used to it nothing feels anywhere near as good.
