Do any of you have a tattoo? I'm curious if /jp/ would do that. Especially tattoos of your waifu.

Looking pretty long there, Remilia.

>> No.10965555

Tattoos are pretty lame. I get the feeling that once the trend dies out there's going to be nothing but regret. I can accept military tattoos or gang tattoos because they signify affiliation and a substantial element in a person's life, but shit like meme and "nerdy" tattoos are permanent identifiers of very transient trends. They are bad decisions manifest.

That's cute. Too bad it's of a shitty character.

small ones really are not that big of a deal. I have an enso on my back/shoulder, and I don't really care. So long as I am not wearing a wife beater it is not visible.

Well dang. OP here, clearly the trend is NOT in the tattoo direction but that hasn't dissuaded me. I was considering getting Okuu, in a depiction similar to this, on my back, near my shoulder, in the "only visible while wearing a wife beater or shirtless" spot. Possibly with her name written vertically next to her.

Thoughts?

Don't listen to what random people on the internet tell you. Do what you want as it is your body and decision.

I'm getting a tattoo in the near future. Most likely not animu or waifu related. Although possibly a small triforce on the inside of my forearm or wrist.

They haven't made the decision for me. /jp/, as much as I like this board and think they can have some great discussions, reacts with fear and immediate repulsion to something unfamiliar or different from what they like.

>>10965785
I'd find a quality artist and spend the extra money for his expertise. If it's gonna be on me forever, I don't mind spending.

I live in a part of the world where tattoos are very common, even on office workers (the CEO of the software company I work for just got another one.) There's plenty of talented tattoo artists.

A triforce? Might as well go in on the full monte and tattoo something a bit more flashy. People are going to recognize it either way.

Hell, I could tattoo Marisa's sigil on my back and less people would recognize it than a triforce.

Unless you don't mind people noticing...

>> No.10966077

I don't mind telling other people. Part of my rationale for getting this tattoo is around me, tattoos with Japanese characters or depictions (koi fish, etc) are very common, including things like full sleeve tattoos. To anyone who doesn't know me, it's just another Japanese tattoo. To anyone who cares to ask, it's clear the tattoo is very dweeby. That's kinda what I am: to people who don't know me I look like an upstanding normal boring guy. Talk to me and it's clear I'm actually a huge dork.

My parents would not be... impressed, but I have a job and my own home. When I still lived at home I made a cosplay right on their kitchen table and they didn't really care.

>>10966059
This is my thinking. A tattoo shouldn't just be "it's pretty" but you should have an explanation and a particular meaning. It's not just a picture, it's a part of you.

Only you know that it expresses your desire to fug the little crazy vampire loli.

>> No.10966207

Eh, dunno why I'd switch to gaelic. I'm fine with people knowing what a nerd I am, if they ask or can read /jp/.

Besides, Okuu isn't my waifu and I don't wanna slip her the D. She's a character I really like and find interesting, plus identify with in a few (lame) ways.
