Just started using WaniKani about a month ago and I'm using Human Japanese (I'm using the Intermediate version now).

What are some good resources for learning Japanese? I know hiragana and katakana. I also have a decent grasp of the grammar (I think). I don't know any vocabulary, though. I'd like to learn as much Hiragana vocab as I can. Do any of you know some good resources for this?

My goal is to be able to start importing games from Japan and stop relying on translators for subbed anime or manga.

I also plan to live in Japan for a year or two in a couple years. Any advice would be really nice.

You're probably better of checking the /a/ daily Japanese thread. Last time I remember they have a pastebin in the OP with some useful links, guides and resources and such.

Having a good read through that will probably be your best bet.

Good luck.

Typical weeaboo logic. You can't just live in any country you feel like, you know.

WaniKani should get you most of the way there. Just stick with what you're doing for about a year and see where you're at. You'll probably have an easy time picking it up from there at the pace WaniKani takes you.

Don't listen to the naysayers--I'm going to Japan in a little while to learn the language, and it is definitely possible to live there. I would suggest KanjiDamage as a good resource. The attached picture has some other information...

Are any of those books translated to spanish? I want to learn japanese but most recommended books and courses seem to be in english and learning a foreign language from a foreign language kind of increases the difficulty.

OP I would advise to stay away from Japanese learning threads unless you have a specific question, as most of them devolve into bickering over which methods are best; the truth is that there is no "best," there is only what is best for you. That is not to say that there are not things that are generally ineffective, but such bickering over whether one should go straight to vocabulary instead of going through RTK or learning kanji through some other method is ultimately unhelpful and will just take away from time that you could be studying. Get a feel for what's available, then find the methods that will work for you (you are the only one that can determine this) and stick to them as long as they work.

Also I say all this specifically with /a/'s Japanese learning threads in mind, since you were directed to them earlier. They're very bad about these things.

Some links which might be helpful.

But of course you are free to choose your own way to study.
