She didn't win, she was losing in there, but Marisa got tired/bored and decided to end the fight.
Look at the after dialogue, Cirno's clothes are all thorn apart while Marisa is perfect. In SoPM there's a picture of Cirno escaping and Marisa following her laughing.
You "won" the fight because the game required so, if the extra stage required a forced defeat that would be highly stupid.

It's okay. I can't even make it past 1-5 of DDP, and everybody calls that game piss easy drivel that even a braindead one armed monkey can clear. ;_;

One thing that I can suggest for MoF, use more bombs. You get a huge amount of them, and they're really strong. I haven't played in awhile, but if I recall, the patterns were also kind of tough.

Stage 4 is significantly more difficult than stage 5, just keep trying.

Momiji, the big fairies, and the crow tengu at the end drop a lot of power, so don't be afraid to bomb to save yourself or clear some bullets that are making you panic.

The 5-point star earliest known origins is from ancient Egyptian religions, well b4 the hebrewfaggots. Ancient Egyptian religions are the "roots" of "magic/black magic". The jews just stole (like they always do) elements of ancient Egyptian religion and made their own religion out of it.

What hell no why? They're lacking a lot of the basic features the latter games force you to learn just to play them well, so they're just there to teach you bad habits.

EoSD.

Everyone always says Imperishable Night, but I think they're wrong. I can 1cc EoSD, but not Imperishable Night. There's too much shit going on and the spell cards are difficult and weird. In EoSD its fairly obvious what to do on the spellcards, in IN, its not. If you compare the difficulty of Reimu or Marisa to that of Patchouli, EoSD is significantly easier. There's nothing to tell you where the hitbox is, but that's easy to learn anyway. Also, Remillia is terribly easy Stage 6 boss.

You can 1cc EoSD because you've played it more. The spell cards are "difficult and weird" because you haven't gotten that used to it.

And IN gets you into GOOD habits. Yeah, the deathbomb is about 1000% easier to pull off, but at least that teaches you that deathbombing is the key to surviving. You can work the timing down with other games later.

Really, you can 1CC IN easy, especially since you don't need a technical 1CC. The only 'difficult' fight in IN is Reimu/Marisa.
EoSD and TD are probably the best for newbies.

Pretty much every game except EoSD has its own extra gimmick that you have to learn. (although MoF's only matters for scoring). One of the big differences between the games though is how MoF and SA have bombing depleting power instead of having a bomb supply. I had the worst fucking time trying to beat MoF initially because I was never bombing enough; once I finally learned to just bomb moar then it was a piece of cake.

I started with EoSD and it was always the easiest game for me on Normal, and second easiest on Hard after IN. On the other hand I had to skip PCB because I couldn't even beat it on Easy, after 1cc'ing IN on Normal I eventually went back to it. To this day I'm not sure I've ever 1cc'ed PCB Normal with anyone except SakuyaA and spamming bombs on Youmu and Yuyuko, maybe I did it once with ReimuB.

Bad habits aside, I think IN can be a good starting game just because of the spellcard practice. Of course TD has it too, but I'm not sure about recommending starting with the most recent game. I'd say UFO has to be the worst game one could start with due to the ufo-chasing bullshit (although it does give ridiculous numbers of extra lives for 1cc'ing once you learn it) and the horribly punishing power loss if you die even once to a boss, which then results in chain-deaths.
