what about a harvest moon touhou?

>> No.10945645

Not this again...
There was a group that wanted to make one, but it got nowhere like most /jp/ projects.

Please don't use that wiki.

Or rather, don't use either of them.

>> No.10945666

ITT: /v/irgin hears about Touhou, reads the (wrong) Wiki, and comes up with a SUPER ORIGINAL idea without lurking.

Search the archives for "Touhou Moon", then kill yourself out of /jp/.

>> No.10945675

How about a MMORPG that's set in Gensokyo then? You can make a guild with /jp/ and live in a mansion together while solving and causing incidents and trying to get better at magic to become a youkai and...
Well, it's not like that will ever happen.

>> No.10945685

What was that virtual reality headset people were talking about a while ago?

If that wasn't just vaporware then it would be neat to make a 3D gensokyo you could walk around. Maybe even add USB onahole support so you can have sex with your favorite 2hu?

>> No.10945744

I'll do the Touhou moon in RPG Maker
But I should use seeds of what?
Will youmu be a lesbian? Who will be the 2hu girls she can marry with?
Who will sell the chicken, cows, etc?

God please no, not another like this. If you're going to use shit, use at last Game Maker.

If you're used to RPG Maker, then Game Maker won't be hard, it's freaking easy :
- rmk Event = gm Objects
- rmk Variable = gm Variable, same shit
- rmk Common Event = gm script in a way
No seriously, give it a try.

>>10945838
I don't think anyone here will play something without at least visuals to fap with, /jp/ is quite elitist unfortunately.

I'm still waiting for a Touhou VN/Dating Sim where you play as Rinnosuke or something and try to bang the Touhous.

2D online 2hu game where you can become a farmer if you want, but other jobs are also available.
To populate Gensokyo more, people who are interested can submit Original characters to not steal™ while the game is in the beta phase.
Since there is limited space, the farms would be accessible through gaps.
Various quests, seasonal and special quests (incidents) blabla...
Let's dream on.
How do you start learning how to program anyway?

>> No.10945973

>>10945965
Assuming we're dropping the online feature, it's not that hard to program. The real issue is the graphics, if they're not appealing enough people won't play the game.

SICP is the best programming text book around but, while introductory, it is still difficult for beginners.

>> No.10946124

Why the fuck do everyone recommend SICP for beginners programmers and probably just hobbyists? This book is just fucking boring.

>> No.10946130

>>10945994
That is one of the worst frameworks I have tried out in recent times. The idea is nice but the execution is horrible and you end up with something which works poorly on many platforms.

>> No.10946148

>>10946124
I don't think many people recommend it because very few people are seriously interested in programming languages and programming as a discipline as opposed to 'getting my PHP scripts configured before the end of the week'. The reasons it's highly regarded is because it actually states (rather than just alluding to) many of the fundamentals of programming that have taken years to discover.

>> No.10946618

It's really difficult to make an introductory CS/programming textbook interesting.

You either make it concise, like K&R, or you pad it out with shit about wizards and metaphysics, like SICP.

A ton of established programmers and computer scientists have given due credit to SICP.

What do you want, a "List of people who have read SICP and made something worthwhile" article? A copy of every student's interpreter that they wrote?

It was required reading at MIT and various other universities for decades.

Here's the closest thing you'll get to what you want:

Sure, if it's nice and object oriented everyone can just work on there own stuff and just make sure it will fit together at the end. All we'd need to do is decide on what section needs to do what and then how to interface with them.

No idea, depends on how many people are working on it. If we have enough we can write on from scratch in c++ or something, if not just use something like game maker (although I've never used it myself before).
