1. Hands and limbs are just sticks.
2. Proportions. Heads are big as fuck and not in the deformed cute sort of way. I mean I like my little girls as much as the next guy but the art style just makes them all look like lolis. It works for Koishi and Nitori but not much else. And their legs are often too stubby.
3. Fucking eyelashes are too bushy. The top of the eye isn't just lashes, there's shadowing and all that from the folds of the eyelid. If you color the lashes the same color as the hair it looks just weird as fuck. Colored eyelashes can work but not in the way alphes does it.
4. Shading and coloring is even messier now.

After trying everyone out she appears to have easy, high damage combos, superior ranged attacks, and her character special mechanic actively helps her instead of fucking her over like Nitori and Byakuren. Unless I'm missing something and you can recharage Nitori's battery, but I couldn't in the story mode playthrough.

Miko made a set of masks representing emotions. As per Japanese mythology, the masks became sentient after 100 years of being used by humans. But for one reason or another the mask representing "Hope" was missing from the set. The Mask Youkai thus started sucking "hope" away from people around her, hoping that the gathering of these energies can be used to make her own mask.

That was the reason for the game, as the common people had fallen into despair when they lost their hope energy.

Don't know how it ends as per usual, no one showed Touhou endings, but it seems Miko is prepared to just MAKE a new mask for her and that would solve everything.

You declare and use them by hitting all four attack keys at the same time. Or alternatively, the two combo keys (D and C) when your popularity gauge is at max and you have the golden aura.

Most of them have weird-ass activation conditions.
