How can be two badly drawn pictures and 10 sentences satisfactory in any way after a week of trying to 1CC the game?
The only thing I appreciate in ZUN's endings is that little sentence it the end: "You cleared the game, well done". You are really happy to finally finish the game and ZUN is first to congratulate you. That's really nice.

There are lots of books and movies where spoiling the ending ruins all the fun from watching/reading them (unlike in touhou games). Basic example: the murderer in 10 Little Negros is Shikieiki. Guess what? It's completely spoiled in wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/And_Then_There_Were_None#Epilogue
You can find spoilers in wikipedia for all of books/movies/games and no one complains about that.

Anyway, the while(a!=0) is obviously an heritage of other languages and/or anal retentive compilers who will warning or error you if you have the outrage of writing a while(1). Which is more than one kind of stupid. That shouldn't be a warning to begin with, and even then, you should be able to use a compile switch to disable it anyway.

D has a nice 'forever' keyword for this kind of situation.

I think they are trying to antagonize as many parts of the western Touhou fandom as possible. They post like worst people from /v/ and tell people to stay away from /jp/, so they will have no support here.

They clearly are not working together with the guys from Gensokyo and are in fact trying to outspeed them with their patch. No support from them.

I don't see why you guys think this will suck so bad. For years we've been getting fan translations from Anime episodes a few hours after the RAWs are released on the web. While the quality may not be stellar it's on par with the Gensokyo.org's patches and much better than some like EoSD's one.

Not to mention the amount of text to be translated is not going to be that much, there is little dialogue in the game and not so much text apart from music and spellcard naming. In fact for something as big as Touhou this should have been happening ever since MoF, instead of what, nearly a month that it took for the TD patch to come out?

The quick patch is possible because the game engine is going to be similar to the previous shooters released before, thus making small modifications to the code will enable them to patch it.

HM is a new entity all together that would require new patch coding and all. You could argue that they had the trial for months now to work with though but it's clearly not their priority.

Touhou as a series already has a lot of trouble with fans and other people not really being able to tell where canon ends and fanon begins. The current wiki before always seemed like a clean, informative place for actual, real information to be posted. That was the whole point of splitting off from the wikia, wasn't it? The fairies seem to muddle this up somewhat, at least visually.

That and I am yet to see anything from the artist that made them, that would cause me to even begin to like him. So my predisposition towards him certainly isn't helping any.

I've argued about this in the past (and a few people have strongly disagreed with me), but I really think they're straying from that goal.

Many official sections are stubs, untranslated, or outright empty, but there are long "Fandom" sections like this:

This won't work. You need a plan. Start with fixing various typos on the wiki until they stop watching your every move for newfaggotry. Always comment in the same way and check in the "minor edit" box. Then you can start editing the offending pages. Find ones from years ago that nobody looks at. Replace their entire contents with spaces or random strings of symbols of roughly the same size, then do the usual - "minor edit", "fixed a typo". There are still a lot of translation issues and notes that need to be fixed. Don't they have some sort of style guide for these things?

A lot of these pages were created by Rukaroa. He seems to have taken a more relaxed approach to structuring and writing the Wiki, but a lot of his original text is still there.
