I know, like I said, photography is mostly having a keen eye. You just see the angle, get a nice lens (for cosplay photography, if i'm not wrong, it's usually something with an aperture of f/1.x ~ f/2.x, 17~55mm) and take your shot.

There's not a lot of secret. A problem of mine is to maintain the camera steady, which in long exposure photos makes everything blurrier.

I don't have any but people say they are small, thus being often non recommended to people who are fat or tall.
You can notice some non symmetrical issues by looking on the pictures, but they are so small that they aren't even noticed in the final product.
The quality depends on your skill though. Because you have to paint and install the wig.

Yes, that is a thing that effects many artists. It's very annoying seeing people constantly put down their work. But try not to assume the reasoning. It's often less rooted in compliment-fishing and more in wanting to preempt any anticipated insults. "People will say this photo sucks, but not if /I/ say it first! They can't make me feel bad now!" or "If I say I already know it sucks, they can't say that I'm oblivious to it!". Insecure people do this in many ways, even conversationally. "I'm probably wrong about this, but-" for example.

THIS! I was just thinking about this the other day too. Another thing to note is if you look at a lot of the Japanese kigs, they seem to have lots of nice (and clean) costumes and outfits. And with some of them, you can see they usually also have nice cars and cameras and computers etc. In other words, most of them seem to be well-adjusted members of society during the day, working decent jobs, and making decent money. For them, kigging is probably just a fun hobby and fetish, and they care enough to do it well. And they also have the means to do it well. For them, kigging is more like an escape from reality. In other words, there really is a psychological component to it. Cultural differences do have an effect on a lot of things. Our western individualism doesn't help much, but the topic of "do it for fun" and "do it right" has been argued to death in all fields of artistic hobby, so it's sort of redundant to argue. I kind of see both sides of the fence too. On one hand I like to see good things, and I like to do things well, but on the other hand, why should I shit on anyone else's parade? It's a tough topic that ultimately boils down to one's own moral opinions on criticism.

The concept of "attention whore" is very annoying because it just seems like a way for people to easily disregard a person. That's like every other insult, I suppose, but it sort of becomes this holy mantra where "thou must not want attention from others" when positive acknowledgment from one's peers is kind of a basic social instinct.

Being obnoxious will drive people away from you, that's true in any situation yes. Though, some people will bash you for being any less than private and nameless, so it's a pointless battle. I personally try my best to fit my own definition of "not obnoxious" and hope for the best.

I think my only criticism of some people is those who blame others for their unpopularity instead of looking inwards. You can look as shitty as you want if you're having fun, but don't throw a fit if no one wants to watch your cam.

From what people told me: Tsuki + Miharu stole money from people by selling masks and never delivering.
I don't know how much this is true or false, but by observing that they sell their stuff and prefer to use Dolphin/i.l.u.c.a designs shed some doubt on me.
