Some unique style doesn't make something good by default. Also, look up some pictures of people copying his style, because they do exist and it's not something impossible for people to do.

It's the character designs that are appealing, not how well (or badly) he draws them. Anatomy doesn't really enter into it, except to poke fun at, like that how-to-draw-like-zun picture.

This plush the colour selection, when he colours with those watery soft colours his drawings have a very mystical feeling, a weird dreamlike atmosphere. I don't know how to explain it, but I like them.
Maybe for the artworks in game the new colours are better, but I hope he does more drawings like the ones he did for the site with that weird style, I also love the endings for the same reason.
