What I've noticed from watching these matches is that a lot of new players/casuals play too defensively. They often don't punish openings because they're on the defensive most of the time.

There's really nothing on the line, don't hold back and go all out. There are a ton of ways to bypass constant blocking...heck, some tactics take advantage of certain blocking habits...especially if you have a habit of blocking low all the time.

If you go all out you might accidentally come across an interesting combo or tactic. When you're starting out it's not about winning, it's about learning.
