I'm afraid that the new batch will be really, really bad. People trying to enforce their new culture onto the site. The banners are the last relic of the older days that is visible to everyone browsing the boards at all times, unless somebody takes initiative to disable them - very few people. They need to be kept intact to reinforce a specific image that repels undesirables.
