Sup /jp/, I'm fairly new to the Visual Novel scene, but the few that I've played. I've loved.

So my question to you is what are some of the essentials that I should play?

So far I've only played Yume Miru Kusuri and Kana: Little Sister, and got all the endings to both.

OP, do you like the ones that are porn with plot? or plot with porn? because a good VN i enjoyed, but is definitely more porn than plot is Bazooka Cafe, some hot scenes in there.

I'll agree with playing ~ONE~ though, it was fun while it lasted, and I have Gadget Trial and the patch on my computer but I haven't played it yet.

but My favorite VN was Utawarerumono. Definitely play that. it's half RPG, though, so it helps if you like that.

Usually I consider ones where you need to choose a specific sequence to go down a route a visual novel while ones that just need enough choices to get to a specific route a dating sim.

Stats aren't all a dating sim is about after all.
