10827271 No.10827271 [Reply] [Original]

I just finished ojousama no doki doki daisakusen! Well, at least the main quest up to the Flandre route. Now only the clock tower challenge is left! I've been playing it on and off since last summer and I wholeheartedly recommend this game. It's cute, challenging, well designed and you get to play as Remilia and the as Flandre! But the Flandre route is kind of secret and it can only be unlocked after you finish the Remi route, so keep it a secret okay?

It's by Blue Mica, they also made touhou splinter cell, which was also very fun to play but I think they outdid themselves with this game. They're also going to release a 3D version of their splinter cell touhou game on Reitaisai 10, which is something I won't miss!

Do you guys have any doujinsoft group you like the most? I feel tasogare frontier overshadows a ton of great developers simply because they pair up with ZUN, but I think there are groups just as good (or better!) than them. Blue mica is a good example of that!

You can also play with Yuyuko in the clock tower mode and there's probably a ton of other secrets I still haven't unlocked. The game has a lot of replayability! And of course, there's an english translation patch avaliable too.

Sorry about that. It's just that Reitaisai is getting close and there's a lot to be excited about, at least for me.

Is there more to the game? I saw some pictures rolling during the credits that I didn't see ingame, like Cirno and I think Mystia dodging danmaku that looked like Reisen's. More unlockable modes? Plans for future projects? Or just stuff that was scrapped before the game was complete? It's just that you're talking about Flan and Yuyuko as if their parts were meant as a full game.

But (non-artificially) long RPGs are the best! Genius of Sappheiros is divided into 21 stages in the main game and expansion adds 6 more stages plus side quests. Each stage has their own gimmicks and puzzles and even most bosses have unique aspects to them, rather than you just spamming your strongest attacks and winning with any team.

It's a very quality game and one of the best RPGs I've played in years, but yes, it is indeed quite long. Main game will likely take at least 50+ hours.

Anon, that's not a good argument for this kind of stuff. Summoners is just a quick cash-in that re-uses pretty much all the sprites from the earlier games, has no real story or witty dialoque and just forces you to use twitter if you want to fight better enemies. It's like comparing Megaman X with Megaman Xover because they are both made by Capcom. X is a classic game beloved by many while Xover is social rpg shit, just made to make some money for the 20th anniversary of Megaman.

There is a reason why there were so many threads about Genius, but not even one full thread about Summoners.

"Grinding" was probably not the right word to use.

When someone says grinding, they rightfully assume that you are fighting the battles simply for the sake of leveling or something. This is not what I intended to say.

Simply going through the dungeons involves 999999999999999999 repetitive fights.

It's not an exaggeration to say that the entire game consists of 98% fighting trash mobs as you make your way to bosses, which consist of the other 2% of the game.

Also, if you think my complaints of the game would be absolved if I had pretty "grafix" and "kawaii voice acting" to distract me, then you can go eat shit.
