Why are cartoon fans so elitist, anyway?

What if the voice acting is genuinely better in the English dub? The cartoon was "dubbed" in Japanese originally, and they have bad and good voice actors just like we do.

Voice acting in Japan is a big thing that pays for good talent. Voice acting in English dubs of Japanese cartoons is done by the same 10 people in every series, and by people trying to get into voice acting.

I guess I can agree with that. I hate people like Cristina Vee. It's not that she's a bad actor, it's just that her voice isn't suited to any of her roles (it sounds too "cartoony") and I'm always way too aware it's her. People like Nyanners are worse, because they can only do one voice.

But still, there are good English voice actors. Frank Welker is great, it's a shame he doesn't get more Japanimation roles.

Good English voice actors are working for Disney/Nick/CN, not some anime dubbing studio unless they are being paid by the aforementioned.
