why do pixiv artists have a tendency to nuke their accounts?

>> No.10774603

stalkers

>> No.10774602

Also deleting art for no reason or making it private.

>> No.10774605

They get girlfriends, and then get paranoid they'll find their art.

>> No.10774615

Are there any sneaky ways to get art back?

Sites like SauceNAO seem to store or have access to thumbnails, and I'm guessing IQDB does too. Is there any way to fetch all of an artist's thumbnails after their account is gone, and then reverse search them? A lot of the stuff I want is on boorus, but there's no artist tag so it's hard to find.

I have done it at least 3 times. Let me gather my thoughts and then I'll post an explanation.

It depends OP.

Was it lewd?

>> No.10774642

Yeah, it seems to happen a lot. Luckily stuff often pops up both on random boorus and pixiv, so you can always go there

some artists get embarrassed by their old works and find it hard to look at them

my guess is some take it a step further

>> No.10774657

This is why I'm glad people archive their art or post it on boorus.

People who don't save art or porn are the worst.

>> No.10774658

I have nuked my DA 3 times and Pixiv once.

>> No.10774660

Worst thing is, it doesn't even tell you what was deleted unlike with youtube videos for example.
I mean, ? ---- , how the hell am I supposed to remember what it was, I have a lot of bookmarks.

>> No.10774663

>>10774642
They sometimes go a step further and delete the tags on the boorus themselves so people have a harder time looking for them.

also have a legion of cock sucking fans that get antsy if any of the works get posted anywhere else

fucking autism

Basically there is something that I call the Burden of Creation.

The making of art creates a lot of psychological baggage that makes it very painful to work and create new stuff.
There are many reasons why this happens

1.- Good ideas don't come in consciously, the almost happen completely at random at any time of the day.
But modern thought has convinced us that good ideas are deliberately created by geniuses, and not something random.
So when an artist tries to replicate the random success he finds himself empty and anxious because he doesn't understand.
This video explains it better.
http://www.ted.com/talks/elizabeth_gilbert_on_genius.html

2.- Art involved a lot of screw ups, and with the increase of viewers the fear of public failure increases too.

3.- Working on entertainment makes one feel guilty of wasting time on worthless things.

4.-We are trained to think that art is mysterious and romantic, when in reality it can only be done if you understand why and how you're doing it. Guilt for killing a fantasy.

5.-Your drawings do not represent your feelings. If you spent your whole day drawing happy cute girls but you're depressed IRL you'll eventually feel like and hypocrite.

6.- There is some sort of blueish goo over your work that only lets you see your failures and your mistakes. Your anatomy failures after you spent hours working on a drawing.
Why would anyone pursue art if the only thing you can see on it are mistakes?

There are ways to solve all of this, but I'm not gonna tell you.

Japan is not free of stupid artist internet drama shit. I really appreciate artists that leave all of their art up, as you can see how its improved over the months and years. There was some guy that posted on a western drawing forum for several years, starting off barely able to draw a circle, and his latest stuff was all professional masterpieces.

Usual reminder that all content WILL disappear from the Internet sooner or later. Only by making local backups of your favorite material can you ensure it will be available for you forever.
And once the content is gone, please be a nice person and share it with other people, too!

Yeah, it's pretty fucked, you know?

I'll never find that sweet video of the guy rubbing his dick between an insanely cute girl's panties and then cumming buckets all over her delicious flat belly.

Or that one sumata short of the cute girl "riding" the guy until he shoots 10 feet into the air several times while she smiles and giggles.

Shit really hurts, man. I've been looking for those videos for years through dmm.jp with no luck.

Pixiv makes archiving a monkey retarded yet effort intensive task. Not to mention how slow it is.
Well, maybe I'm just a complete moron and you actually CAN look for tags within bookmarked artists; that would make it a thousand time better than checking each artist individually and saving manually every pictures.

SauceNAO has effectively all the (thumbnail) images and user info archived since the index was started in 2009. For a long time the scripts were also able to acquire 'private' images without issue. Sadly that stopped mid August 2012.
One of the features I'm considering adding is a way to look up additional info/works associated with a given member ID. Due to the database structure it would be inefficient, but certainly possible.

Since drawr is also linked to pixiv by pixiv login user names, any relations could potentially be determined as well.
