I have a molinae connure that tought my other parakeet to stop fearing humans.
Now I can even have her on my shoulders, something that was impossible before.

The more intelligent species of birds do. Most parrots get depressed if they don't have humans or other birds to socialize with regularly and start self-destructive behavior. Birds also get cranky a lot.

Some larger parrots have been reported to have let themselves die after their owner died.
Usually domesticated hand fed birds will bond to one person, their owner, and pretty much hate anyone else.
Perfect pets for grumpy NEETs.

i want to be a

BIRD OTAKU

but i don't know what bird to get. i want preferably a quiet bird, with some intelligence and doesn't constantly try to fly out the window. if it can do tricks thats cool too

Birds aren't quiet. None of them are. I mean, maybe if you got a Flamingo or something it'd be quiet but every domesticated bird makes a lot of noise though it varies on the bird's personality.

Wow why has /jp/ tuned into /an/ lately. Yes we had these threads always, but it was like once every week or so limited to one thread.

Cockatiels are pretty good for a first timer, some small parrots like conures are also good to get you an idea of how those type of birds behave.
Even the most quiet birds make noise when they're pissed, just be sure to give it a lot of time.
They won't usually try to escape because they're too attached to their owner, be careful not to let the windows open when you get it out of it's cage though.

Also, even the most basic parakeet can learn tricks with enough deidcation from their owner, it's all a matter of time and dedication.
