This is kinda funny, just today I had my first real nightmare in a long long time.
A weird blackclothed monster women was hunting me and I knew that if she would catch me she would kill me instantly.
I ran and ran and tried to lock doors behind me, but the keys were taken away by the hands of the people who were on the other side of the door and about to get killed by the women in black.
I woke up for a brief moment and realized what happened, I had a nightmare.
Something was scaring me in my own dream.
Once I realized that I fell back to sleep and decided to not let that bitch fuck with me anymore.
I destroyed her mercilessly, knowing that it was my dream and my world.

By destroyed her mercilessly do you mean raped her everyhole and put her on the BDSM torture toys?

Now that's what I'd call a nightmare.
No lewdness in my dreams.

Now that I think about it, I often have nightmares about being back in school and having to write a test soon when I don't know anything

As if you actually have any control over dreams. They're just random collections of things throughout the day.

You know it's scary because it's in horror_gothic.ttf.

Never heard of lucid dreaming?
I can't say that I mastered this technique, nor do I want that because that'd be boring, but I have control over some things that happen in my dream sometimes

Put it in

>> No.10754279

I've only had lucid dreams a few times, but the same problems that occur in real life occur in my dreams.

For example, in the most recent dream, I was driving a car all around a field. Then I got worried because I don't have a driving licence. It also occurred to me I could crash or get in trouble with the police for driving recklessly. My brain said, "Don't worry about it, this is a dream," to which I replied, "Yeah, well, I should be careful, just in case."
So instead I got a curry. It was mediocre because my brain didn't want me to be too happy.

Yeah. Also known as vivid dreams. They become more so as your dream recall increases.
As for dream control, it was an illusion. You don't ACTUALLY control your dreams. You dream that you do.

>You don't ACTUALLY control your dreams. You dream that you do.

What makes you say this? Plenty of people have lucid dreams where they think "okay, I am dreaming, now I'm going to fly!"

This had better not turn into another bullshit debate about agency and free will.

>> No.10754297

>lucid
>Psychology (of a dream) experienced with the dreamer feeling awake, aware of dreaming, and able to control events consciously.

Lucid dreaming has got to be /x/'s best troll in it's entire existence.

I never said they didn't. I have them too, and I'm TELLING you there is no control. So stop putting words in my mouth.
There is nothing to debate. Saying you control your dreams is like saying you control your breathing. You can do things to inhibit and foster dreaming much like how you can hold your breath; dream and breathing processes happen involuntarily. No actual control.

You have to be the most retarded and incompetent shitbag ever to not be able to something as simple as lucid dream, you fucking shitbag.

The existence of lucid dreaming is scientifically proven.

>dream control
>illusion
But it feels like I do have control, just like in real life.
If there is no free will in lucid dreaming and it is actually an illusion, how can we tell the free will in reality isn't either?
