At some point a few years ago there was this bug OMG HETALIA!!! thing like there now is with Homestuck. I just waited and then it stopped.

So it was a webcomic about World War II or something?

I tried it. I wanted to like it, but I couldn't. I wanted to like it for the doujinshi. Then I realized that most of it was disgusting yaoi and not god-tier bara.
I watched the 4 seasons. I only smiled twice. It's not really funny.

Hetalia is retelling WW2 history with all the nations turned into men with stereotypical personalities of where they are from.

It is popular among teen age girls and early 20s women but it is often criticized for it being culturally insensitive and getting details wrong (South Korea almost sued the animation studio and got their character taken out and lots of Russian people hate it too)

I personally am not very into it but I like some of the character designs.

There's new season of anime coming out this year from different creators than the original. There's also at least one movie. This is way bigger than Homestuck.

I'm not a fujoshi but do people really find Yuri Yuri funny? Someone told me to watch it because I like Minami-Ke and Mitsudomoe and it was nothing but Kyoko telling jokes while everyone else said a few words after.(I liked the blonde girl with the hair clips though)
