Even though the quality in the past few years has been steadily declining, there are still good series coming out.

/jp/ is able to talk about anime obviously. What kind of otaku would just plain skip it? We just don't talk much about it here since there's better boards for that and the textless screencap spam ruined things for everyone. But we've had good threads about picks of the season and odd series.

There are good OELVNs, you faggots were just way too butthurt about Katawa Shoujo in that one moot thread. Consider that we managed perfectly fine for about four years, and the board was even renamed to "Katawa Shoujo" at one point.

What was especially funny is how you nerds were so anally anguished over KS, you ignored moot's other decision (to allow light novels). We had maybe one light novel thread a month, then we went to at least one "light novel" (not anime ;)) thread every day.

I would only see it as good thing if 4chan could offer different kind of discussion platforms for different people. Like /vg/ has Kamidori threads too but they are talking a bit different things than /jp/ talks in their Kamidori threads. Same goes for Yume Nikki, STGs, mmorpgs etc.
