Just finished Gekkou and was quite enjoyable. Is there any others I should read? Is there any other sites like Baka-Tsuki that has translated light novels? Also light novel thread.

Finally, a light novel thread! I don't know much about translated light novels but I loved Gekkou. Too bad its just one volume.

Also, here's a list of novels that I really enjoyed reading.

火の国、風の国物語
レイン
ミスマルカ興国物語
no game no life
魔弾の王と戦姫
まおゆう魔王勇者(web version)

I'd really appreciate it if the other jp/er/s could share their reading list.

I can't comment on memochou and bungaku shojo since I haven't read both. But, I've heard that bungaku shojo could get pretty depressing at times.

As for Mahouka, if you hated SAO, you'll probably hate it too. It's in the same category as SAO with the protagonist being strong(ORE TUEEEE). But take note that Mahouka is not a harem novel (unlike SAO), some of the female characters who initially liked the protagonist falls in love with other male characters. This is something which may turn off readers who would like monopoly over the female characters. I even consider this ntr. But yeah, I still read the damn thing just because the protagonist pretty much kicks everyone's ass. Also, I'll have to say that the novel's world building was pretty detailed, so if you're into that, you may like it.

On the other hand, utsuro no hako is a mystery - I dunno what genre it falls in. lol. In any case, it's a pretty fun read. Although, your enjoyment of the novel would probably depend on how much you like Maria and her interaction with the protagonist. Also, it's probably one of the rare novels with a yandere protagonist.

On a completely different note, I've been reading date-a-live and Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Come wa Machigatteiru just because I liked what I saw in the anime. I'll probably read Hataraku Maou too.
