This won't work well. It's like when a big movie is popular at the box office, so studios try to copy it, and make rip-offs that flop. This is going to be like one of those Cave Story or Minecraft clones that followed those games. It might not be bad, but it's going to look bad following good independent horror JRPGs.

Also I'm guessing this is an OEL project, so they'll lose a lot of the weeaboo audience right there. Trying to imitate a Japanese style never works. Even wapanese, braindead teenagers don't like OEL manga when they can have Japanese manga. Then again, Katawa Shoujo was pretty popular, so who knows.
