since 4chan was inspired by some japanese website i'm curious as to what else is out there on the web that the japanese have created. i mean, they are usually more advanced on technology and have a very futuristic kind of culture so it is not surprising that they would be making some amazing things on the internet and the west is just catching up. but i am not aware of any japanese sites that prove this kind of development, it seems as if they are being influenced by whatever is being done in the west, unless of course they have their own internet by now.

What the fuck? Of course Japan has their own internet backbone, maybe even some transatlantic cables, we're talking about a country whose telegraph infrastructure grew incredibly fast in a short span of time...and even then, it's expected from a first world country to have their own fiber-optics network.
