it works on every psp model that exists, including go and e1000. its installation is easily reversible too.

only minus would be that after powering down it boots into ofw, and you have to boot into cfw from an additional program.

its chances to brick the psp are virtually zero though, as long as you don't try to use cipl flasher or other stuff that tries to boot it into cfw automatically. it doesn't touch your psp's firmware, just loads into memory like games do.

For some reason, it can't read my F/E save data. It's 破損.

It's a savefile for the Japanese version that I downloaded from someone else, since I played the first one localized. I can load NG+ from it in Japanese F/E, so it should be working.

game.dns is just an encrypted cpk file in this case.

first you decrypt it (jpcsp can do it), it'll give you a PGDfile.raw.decrypted, then rename the decrypted file's extension to .cpk and use cpk tool to extract it.

Speaking of a possible translation, there seem to be no technical difficulties (files are either uncompressed - pic related - or compressed with a vanilla LZSS), but I doubt that anyone would risk starting fan TL project only to be stopped halfway by a (not really impossible) official localisation.
As for the machine translation, it's possible to intercept the on-screen text if it's stored in the same memory location with ArtMoney (Cheat Engine might work too, I'm not sure) for example and let AGTH & co. hook that rather than emulator itself. It's a hassle even to set up, but it's doable (I did it with some PS2 VNS on PCSX2) IF, I repeat, CCC is always storing current line in the same memory location. Someone more enthusiastic about it than myself should check if CCC behaves like that.

That tiled format is swizzling. I'm pretty sure there are many tools to unswizzle PS2's TIM2 format, and what we have here is TIM2 with changed headers and palette (CLUT) shifted 16 bytes past the image data instead of immediately following it.
Selected part on the pic related is the new header, image data follows and CLUT starts at 88960 instead of TIM2's 88944.

If you have nothing better, RAWTex plugin for GIMP 2.4.x supports saving swizzled images and OPTPiX iMageStudio is industry standard for working with TIM2s.
