We learn 2 foreign languages. English+other. Now, other depends on a school. Some schools do French, other Spanish, other German, other Russian, other Latin(as in, real Latin). Some schools also teach regional dialects.

Schools use it increase their prestige meaning they were able to find a teacher to even teach it. Parents just think that the school must be serious in educating their special snowflakes. Actual use for Latin outside of some academics is quite low.
