Why does riding a motorcycle feel so great?

Why are subhuman idiots still clinging to the belief that petroleum vehicles outperform electric ones in any way?

The Tesla Roadster goes 0-60 in 3.7 seconds. It costed like $100k USD when it was in production. It has a top speed of ~160 mph and gets 250 miles per charge.

It accomplished all of this while being a five-year-old vehicle using ten-year-old technology. Meanwhile gasoline morons continue to try justifying their retarded views with 'muh engine sounds.'

Electric vehicles are the high-performance, high-efficiency future.

Because their views are being controlled by people who want their money.

Gasoline is so amazingly inefficient a fuel. If aliens came to this planet they would laugh at cars the most.

Tesla Roadsters seem to start around 50k USD.

Do you know how much driving I can do with a 2k USD car/motorcycle, and 48k USD worth of gas?

>> No.10642136

>>10642122

A 2k USD motorcycle/car is not the gasoline equivalent of a Tesla Roadster. Tesla Roadsters are the electric equivalents of sports cars, so do not spout retarded bullshit about electric vehicles being more expensive when you are comparing a $2,000 dollar junker to a assembled-to-order sports vehicle.

My bike's worth about $650 and it gets about 80 actual miles per gallon, but the manual says it gets 176 miles per gallon. The tank is two gallons, so that's about 300 miles per tank. Assuming it takes $5 to fill up the tank, you can go 2880000 miles with $48,000.

With how it is now though at 80mpg, just cut that figure in half.

good luck getting a gasoline motor with a bazillion moving parts to last a sixteenth as long

I think that goes for any vehicle. Even so, the engine is so simple that very little can actually go wrong with it. That extra money saved from the $2000 will cover repairs for quite a while.

>I think that goes for any vehicle.

Any vehicle other than electric vehicles, with one-moving-part engines and electronic transmissions.

Did You Know: in electric vehicles, there is so much immediate torque when the engine is fed power that the transmission has to graduate its speed so that it won't destroy the tires. With perfect traction, 0-60 would probably be close to ~0.5 seconds in electric vehicles.

Can you do your own work on electic engines?

>> No.10642231

>>10642228

Yep. Why wouldn't you be able to?

Trains use electric engines powered by diesel generators, if I'm not mistaken. This is a cool train fact.
