Hello, /jp/. I just watched this guy for the first time today. I love his videos. Does anybody know a channel or something where I could get all/most of his videos subbed in English?

yes

I don't actually browse this board but here.

Youtube links for new videos are posted here:

And the people translating it have a thread on SA. If they translate a new episode, they usually post it along with a picture so the releases are easy to spot:

Actual downloads are pretty spotty. But if you want to just watch them, you can literally just go to the Wikipedia page, identify and episode you want to watch and search "gamecenter cx (game name)."

Why don't people think to try this first?

Thanks, guys. I'm glad there are so many videos. He's really terrible at gaming, but I still enjoy his videos very much.

>> No.10630209

I've enjoyed this show long before it started getting really popular on 4chan in recent years but I still wish there were proper high quality DVD rips with subs instead of just the TV rips.

OP here again. Before I watch over a hundred episodes, I need to know, this show isn't fake, right? I don't think that it is since so far they've shown people helping him, but I just want to be sure.

Like, he doesn't cheat off-camera, follows a scenario, dies on purpose, fakes reactions or anything, right?

No, it's not scripted. That's why this show is so awesome.
He even did some live challenges. You should definitely check them out, they're absolutely amazing!
Also make sure to check out the Kacho goes to America episode. It was the first episode I watched and it remains my favourite to this day.

Thanks. That's what I thought. And yes, this is part of what makes it good. I hate how scripted the AVGN is.

He doesn't seriously act mad that often; it sounds like you don't watch the show.

It also gets frustrating though because he isn't that good at playing games. That said, when he beats them...oh man. I don't think I even get that fired up playing the games myself.

It's true, but it helps that he's pretty charismatic. Enough to keep it entertaining.

Have you watched the Quest of Ki live event? I think they added it as segment to some other episode.
8 hours on a one screen level, that's the very definiton of frustration.
But the feeling when he beat it... Ooooh boy.

I recently found these, and watched some, and it was fun. Then today the movie I left open last time had been removed due to copyright. Sigh.

Why do people think they need to defend air rights for shows like this?

>>10634960
It's licensed in America.

Actually, this isn't entirely true. He's awful at certain games (like that dreaded Super Mario World episode where he'd go through 99 lives on one monster in one stage... Christ) but then he manages to beat games like Ninja Gaiden and Rockman with relative ease.

Is that perhaps the version I accidentally ran into that had the terrible voice over? They were much better subtitled.

OP here again. It seems that all the links from http://www.gamingcx.com/ have been taken down. Most from http://www.gaki-no-tsukai.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=2653 still seem to be up, though.

It's really a shame that they decided to close all those channels down right when I was getting into it.

If you don't care about WHICH episode you're going to watch and just want to watch an episode whenever, there's justin tv hawk7713 who usually streams GCCX episodes 24/7. He seems to be down right now but he has 24 hours of archives up to tide you over.

>> No.10636582

That's true. Though I wouldn't consider Ninja Gaiden to be "with relative ease". He deeded help from all of the ADs on that one and needed two days.

>>10635038
There's supposed to be a new localization being released that keeps Kan's narration.

>>10635074
>It's really a shame that they decided to close all those channels down right when I was getting into it.
Same here. The SA forums have torrent links, though, so you can always DL them there.
