Holy shit, /jp/. This game! It's like I really have a girlfriend. Is this what it feels like to be liked by the opposite sex (I've never had a girlfriend before or been popular with girls)?

Now I know why that Japanese guy tried to marry his Love Plus character. I didn't think I'd be so drawn to a make-believe characters. My heart literally skips a beat when I interact with the girls.

Are there any other games like this?

I've never been interested in Love Plus before but I've been getting more interested recently to fuck around on while learning Japanese.

For those that have played, would these games be a viable way of studying Japanese? I figure it'd be fun to talk to a cute girl and study at the same time on something that I can take anywhere.

Yotsuba&! is great and all but sometimes Yotsuba says things very strangely. I'd imagine Love Plus would sound more adult and natural.

If you have a DS to play this, there's plenty of resources you can use that are more direct than playing Love Plus, although LP is in itself very simple to read too and I guess it would keep you motivated. Also get used to Yotsuba&, it's very useful when studying actual colloquial speak in my opinion. Yotsuba herself just says things very childishly.

Well, I've just ordered Zelda Spirit Tracks (Japanese version) for the DS and Ni no Kuni (Japanese version) for the PS3. They both have furigana, so should be good to learn with. Professor Layton games for the DS (the friendly version) also has furigana, if you're interested.

Wait, so I was just about to sit down and start Loveplus, read the wiki page first and got a little confused.

Is Loveplus + the same game but with more content? Why would a data transfer feature from the first game matter if it was? Should I bother with the first game at all?
