CG keeps getting duller and simpler with every generation. It's all mass produced nowadays.

Why is this happening now that we have more technology?

I mentioned this in another thread recently, but I liked when games were for DOS or the PC Engine or whatever and the character sprites were basically pixel art. A few games were re-released for Windows with "enhanced" graphics, and they blew hard (we have truecolor now so we might as well use gradients everywhere!)

I'd like to see a new game made in the 90s style, with dat dithering and dem pointy chins.
