I love everything Type-Moon makes.

I am completely addicted to Type-Moon.

I think I might be that sort of really unhealthy collect-everything otaku on the subject of Type-Moon.

I loved every route of Fate/Stay Night. And Fate/Zero was excellent. Fate/Hollow Ataraxia is beautiful, Mahoutsukai no Yoru even moreso. Tsukihime is thrilling. Melty Blood is incredibly fun. Kagetsu Tohya made me cry.

My mind is completely soaked in Type-Moon.

Mediore at best.

It misses the mood that made Tsukihime stand out despite its flaws.
Too long, the shit pacing doesn't help.
Nasu is great at writing lore, but he want too far with the role-playing references and the historical liberties, annihilating every ounce of possible seriousness.
Unappealing main heroines. Undevelopped secondary heroines.
Shirou is an interesting character, but if you don't like him you're in for a world of pain since you're stuck for more than 50 hours reading his inner thoughts and choosing between several dumb decisions.
Nice production values.

Tsukihime is miles and miles better because it doesn't have pacing issues and the far side routes are classics and are much more tense than this mess. Many people (myself included) couldn't care less about the characters, even in what were supposedly the most emotionally powerful moments (Sakura's route was fucking boring...). Also the game's focus is myopic. Tsukihime definitely doesn't wander very far thematically and plot wise from its basis but it covers what it does well. Just a few thoughts.

The only good thing about Carnival Phantasm was Keiken Atai's segment in the special and the Illya's Castle segment. The rest made me realize how little Nasu appreciates Tsukihime and hates anyone but Arc, and how much I hate Saber and Sakura. Rin was at least amusing.

By dry and bitter, I was more referencing archer.
So I can enjoy all sorts of shirous in my free time, the cute innocent ones, the dry, bitter ones (archer), the idealistic and strong ones, and the confused and sad ones.
