Hiding arms to hide that he tends to draw them short, ruffled hair, overrounded chin, soft pink ovals on the cheeks for endless blush, neck is too long... yeah, the styles are as different as black and white.

I don't see where "the colors lack depth" comes in because it's as much of an issue now as it was before. I'd say he's less prone to awkward shading now than he was before.
