Remember when we used to ask which Touhou we would do certain things with on a daily basis? It's been so long since I've seen a thread like that. Why did we stop having them?

We used to ask, for example, which Touhou we would go to the park with, or play games with. There were probably several of these threads every day. I can't honestly remember the last time I saw one of these.

The janitor deletes them now, like with train threads and Flandre threads.

We still have threads like those. The questions just got dumber and dumber over time, becoming more along the lines of meme spouting than legitimate questions.

My blood boils every time this happens. To leave the Kig and Idol shit around but deleting the train threads just shows how retarded the current moderator is.

Nothing would change, surely you know this. Moot has been a complete idiot recently, catering for attention on /a/ and shit. Besides, he gives a rat's ass about the current quality of /jp/ that it would take months for something, if anything, to even be made about it.

You can no longer speak your mind in today's /jp/.

You are ostracized and punished for making threads about things you enjoy.
There is no freedom of speech anymore.

This thread doesn't belong here either, but the janitor doesn't delete it. It should be on /fit/. Just because the image is a fat asian guy with a pillow doesn't make it /jp/ related. It's insulting.
he also doesn't delete trap threads, so we know what type of shit he is.

It's the closest you can get, even if you think the technical terms do not apply. Kigs were initially posted as shitposting and I can honestly not know when the fuck it became accepted as /jp/ material, but it surely is not supposed to be here.

Well, behind the mongoloid abbreviations, the questions still have the same intent. (Except when they're blatant ironic/whatever kind of shit posting).

But the problem with these threads is that we have asked almost everything, and the questions got more specific (and ridiculous) each time.

With which Touhou would you like to go Oxy-fuel welding?

And well, even if those threads don't fall into the classification of "Otaku Culture", I can't help but love threads where /jp/ pours it's heart into the answers.

And about the Janitor, I suppose it's an old and rejected idea to establish a vote system for deleting threads without janitor/mod intervention?. It could work, I mean /jp/ being so slow. I hate it too when perfectly fine threads get deleted.

But you are correct when you say that the mods do not care about this board.

>> No.10501011

VNTS is the mod.

You can take this as truth from someone who has been banned so much that they have noted a clear correlation between the posting of VNTS threads and the presence of a person able to ban.

This would most probably backfire.

>> No.10501018

>>10501012

There's already one, pretty much. I regularly proxy-report threads to get them deleted, and I can tell you that after 8 reports, if it's not a very well-known thread like VN general, it will 404. The mods just see a lot of reports on one thread and assume it's unwanted by the board's residents.

Those threads are more productive and better to /jp/ as a whole when compared to all the meme-filled, horrifying grammar shit you normally see around.

>> No.10501047

This board would be 1000x better if the only things deleted were spam and illegal shit.

>> No.10501074

>>10501034
I don't know if productive is necessarily the right word but they definitely make for more fun on-topic threads instead of just one person bumping threads by reposting images off Danbooru/Pixiv with no discussion once every 24 hours. People need to learn that those threads get no replies for a reason.

>> No.10501077

>>10501047
The only real thing you need to delete in order to keep quality and related content in /jp/ are memes and illiterate posts, and I'm serious on this. Just having to write in a way that makes sense and shows you are not iliterate would send /jp/'s quality sky high. It would handicap all shitposters and just turn them into trolls that can be dealt with instead of the cancerous plague they currently are. It would also filter children completely.

>> No.10501076

>>10501000

Case in point, retard. When someone is slacking off and skips out on work, you fire them. When work piles up in their absence you don't excuse them by going "well they're not here right now..."

Laff.

I just finished a ban for asking which gensokyo resident you would want to have as your wingman in a thread about 2hus flying airplanes. I had an ace combat crossover attached image.

last year when people were spamming that kind of thread I made one trying to discuss eroge. I got banned even though only the title was silly and my post had information on an upcoming game.

clearly the mods don't give a fuck and ban indiscriminately without even reading anything or trying to understand what /jp/ is about
