I sometimes wonder if being "not-assburger" is sort of like how niggers have street-cred.

Let me explain; on /jp/ if you "sperg out" (write proper English and/or make even medium length posts) you get called out for it, get called a burger and all that nasty business.

On the streets, if a nigger isn't wearing the correct clothes (rap shit, sagging pants, blingbling) he gets mugged and beaten up.

Are we on /jp/ basically the niggers of the internet?

That's incorrect. Just because one thing applies to a certain society, it doesn't mean you can transitively attribute it another. First off, the above mentioned societies run on differing sets of norms and ideals. Additionally, there are many other factors that go into what makes a "nigger" a nigger, but I've no time really to further expound upon that.

I make lengthy posts with proper English all the time and nobody calls me out on them. As a matter of fact, almost nobody notices them, which leads me to believe that most people just ignore them.

I cannot see why it should be taken any less seriously when he is pointing out the inconsistencies of the post he is replying to. He provided reasoned backing to his statements which is evident through several examples if you were to put some thought into it. Furthermore, is it the fact that someone insists on proofreading their posts and writes in detail as opposed to a series of one-line sentences that contain numerous errors within them, which causes your disbelief? If anything, it makes to convey the point better because it provides the reader with more backing than a naked statement. Just because we are in the age of acronyms and shortened words, doesn't mean they should be used in regular use when you have enough time to type up the post.
