Yeah, that happened to me too since I didn't play the other games until I beat normal EoSD, 3-4 hours if I remind correctly, and by that time I had already developed affection for Sakuya after many knife dodges.

This also happens with extra bosses since you spend lots of time listening to their themes and dodging their danmaku, at least more than in the regular stages.

Oddly many Lunatic tier playes like stage one bosses because they find themselves restarting the games a lot. I've carved SA stage 1 theme in my head after trying many times before I did beat the game.

To add to it, since I've forgotten until now, if you refer to the legends (as ZUN sometimes does when writing his stories, and did once already with the sisters) Toyohime was, at one time, an emotional coward that abandoned her first husband and son, each of which were blood-related to Amaterasu and Japan's first emperor, respectively (via incest in the latter case), so... there is a bit to dislike there. I'd say the best way to get into Touhou is to watch the animes or to check out IOSYS videos online, it will give you a pretty good idea of what the franchise is about and they will make you laugh. You could also look into some doujinshi and maybe you'll like what you see (there's no porn elsewhere in the series though D:).

They're not AS known, though, or as appreciated, so they each unfairly garnered the nickname. Toyohime is pretty much the only person that was ever consistently NICE to Udonge, while everyone else either attacks or trolls her (for various reasons). Her kindness, power, and appearance put her above all the others in my book, though there is the issue of her possibly killing any humans that try to stay at the Capitol, so she isn't perfect.

Byakuren started out cool, but her stupid dialog in symposium in post mysticism made her kind of painfully annoying and preachy. Miko's dialog in TD is pretty epic if you ask me.

Her theme is better as well, Emotional Skyscraper is awesome, but Final Administrator has an undercurrent of real fighting. Kind of like Nuclear Fusion, where the music makes the battle all the more desperate. Don't get me wrong, I am a buddhist and like Hijiri a lot, bit Miko has more going for her in my eyes.
