Probably Chinese rips, they encode their tags in their shitty encodings.

foobar2000 has an extension to batch tag your songs, and it includes an option to guess them by the filename.

But, are you trying to compare them to mmbk? Honestly voicing a character (it's just a character, and it's just a job, they do it to get into the voice acting business) doesn't seem as slutty as actually getting drunk and fucking a guy overnight by your own. I guess quite a few idols have done that but it's their job to keep in mind they're targeting creepy otaku so they shouldn't do anything dangerous without expecting consequences.

I think the worst thing was that, reading the LINE conversations mmbk just sounded like the typical slutty "maji de chou yabee n dakedo" adolescent girls that everyone hates. Besides mmbk was especially close and flirty with her fans.

While Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei and Arakawa Under The Bridge are definitely denpa-kei shows themselves, I was talking more about the music. They chose songs like Neko mimi mode, Os-Uchuujin, Zetsubou Sensei opening themes, Hidamari Sketch/Pani Poni Dash songs and whatnot. Most shows go with generic pop stuff.

Have you read the lyrics? Have you listened to Moebious Kouya? NEET Fishing? Or old non-SZS tracks like Denpa no Otoko or Denpa Boogie? I know it's rock, but that doesn't mean they can't be denpa-kei. Ohtsuki knows about the denpa archetype and he uses it in his songs.

Yes there was a very small period of time when the word 'denpa' became popular to use in that context, arakawa came out of that shortly afterward. It's just a normal person's idea of a crazy person, it doesn't have anything to do with the denpa we receive. Old denpa-moe shows are closer to that, but we don't see too many of them nowadays, certainly not from SHAFT who have their own agenda to fulfill.

I don't think you understand.

You won't hear many people use the word 'denpa' to refer to someone as crazy or weird. It was embraced by the arts community before it was used popularly. Even after the murders, 'denpa' was not commonly used slang. There was a very short period in the late 00s when 'denpa' became a slightly fashionable word to use for someone crazy, I don't think this slang ever escaped a handful of wards in Tokyo and sunk back down to otaku-level slang within months (thanks to denpa music and old akiba culture).

It was around this time arakawa was adapted to an anime. notice how they marketed it as a 'denpa-kei' story yet the manga had no such thing? It was just written as-is.

Nicokids don't really have a great idea about anything, surely you know of how nico changed (once again, in the late 00s...though not related), I wouldn't trust anyone's judgement on nico. People nowadays just use 'denpasong' as an insult/troll on nico, which is ironic when you consider momoi.

No 'denpa shows' do not have to be moe, denpa moe was a type of moe (this was before the meaning of 'moe' was different) that was characterised by exaggeratedly cute characters (who were often 'denpa' characters to begin with) that existed in denpa-gag shows.

Di Gi Charat is a good example of this, the characters were bizzare and frenzied, the asthetics were exaggerations of the 'cute' anime style - almost in mockery. The shows featured nonsensical gags.

There are two different types of 'denpa' in effect, some people remember the old late-80s/early 90s denpa associated with the murders and VNs that carried on in the same way. Others are familiar with the late 90s/early 2000s denpa associated with the obscure gags. Yeah I have a mental image about this. But how can we relate both sides to denpa songs? I think many people here can identify the over-the-top dizziness-inducing element in denpa songs as compared to normal cute pop songs, but what about the other dark side of it?
