While I still loved EXEC_CHRONICLE_KEY/. , I used to think it was overly overrated (and loved by normalfag, I was a shallow one back then) and there are better Hymmnos that people just don't appreciate as much.

Well, I was wrong. While I was listening to the AT1 Hymmnos concert, I remembered how I originally felt the first time I had listened to it, the magical and somehow nostalgic melody that I hadn't believed that could even exist, the haunting lyric that I hadn't understood shit about at that point, the story of Misha and everything.
So the song certainly left a very deep impression in my heart and mind. It's silly, but I just simply got too used to something I've been listening to since 2005 so I took it too lightly compared to the later Hymmnos.
I still say there are better AT songs, but yeah, this one has a very special place in my heart. Maybe it even materialized into a ship in my mind (and just recently came back to remind me of all the good and beautiful things in life)

What am I even doing, getting all sentimental and telling a bunch of fellow autists all my craps.

AFAIK La ciel mentioned Ar Ciel as some kind of paradise or promised land. That's rather interesting, considering they said the two planets are too far away from each other to have any relation

I'm a sucker mostly for Ta Fatie though, it sounds so quirky and surreal it makes my pants wet. Laylania gives roughly the same impression but sounds catchy, maybe that's why people seem to prefer it, I think. La Ciel and Kaze wa harukana are what I expected from Shikata Akiko, I like them but then they didn't catch me off guard like the other songs. And ending the album with sweet Toumei nostalgia is a damn nice touch.

What we've previously called "Cult Ciel Note" is probably actually "Kurt Ciel Note". Since the title of this set is "songs that conversed with the gods", that means "kurt ciel note" may be "language for conversing with the gods of of the planet" which describes its historical role pretty well.

Thanks to the people who posted the new songs, but I have to agree that overall, they're mediocre. VISIONDANCE_PLUGINs is probably the best, but it's nothing special and it's certainly not epic in the way the best AT songs are.

I had high hopes for DISHADOW because someone had compared to DESPEDIA, but yeah, it's a huge mess and not pleasant at all to listen to until about the last 1/3 of the song. I know that it's supposed to be the song that Mir used to destroy half of Sol Ciel and it makes sense that it's a chaotic shrieking mess, but....they could have done something a lot better than what they came up with. Hell, NULLASCENSION was supposed to destroy everything by collapsing Ar Tonelico into a freaking black hole and it's a lot more pleasant to listen to then DISHADOW. Or they could have taken a cue from the Sublimations, or even XaaaCi, which is the same kind of hatred and chaotic shrieking destruction mixed with sorrow that Mir's all about. Disappointing all around.

Also, is it just me or does Shikata sound off on ALTERNATION? I don't know if she's trying to sound like a younger Cloche, but she sounds strained and nasal and not really like herself. ALTERNATION came off as just meh to me, and that's part of the reason why.
