I only drink exotic and rare pops. If I see something new or interesting, I'll try it. Two that stick in my mind are a lavender pop I had a few years ago and the Curiosity Cola I had last Halloween. That cola was interesting because it's brewed how colas were in the past, with herbs and roots and such. You're supposed to invert the bottle before opening the cap because some of the bits that aren't strained out settle on the bottom and are aromatic, or so I'm lead to believe, but I think they just don't want your last sip to have any bits that stick in your throat. The carbonation it gets is also the result of a slight fermentation and not the addition of a syrup to carbonated water. When I want a pop my regular drinker is San Pelligrino Limonatas because they're plentiful and flavorful.

I also enjoy tea quite a lot as well as coffee and beer, with beer interesting me the least. If it didn't get me drunk however, that's all I'd be drinking.

I usually drink about two pots of Temple of Heaven every day since it's cheap and tastes alright, and sometimes a pot of Russian Earl Grey or English Breakfast. I add milk to the black teas, rarely honey if I've 'come across' some.

I used to drink a litre of coffee throughout a day when I lived with my parents, but coffee is so bothersome to make for just one person, and caffeine (or lack thereof) has negligible effect on my mood.

I'm a total plebe when it comes to quality of taste, though. I can't even taste the difference in a dark and light roast coffee, let alone white and green tea..

That's datura isn't it? You can get mostly the same delirious effect from eating whole nutmeg (which will last for days) or DPH. Poppy tea just makes you feel warm and makes couches and beds incredibly comfortable. It's pretty nice.

>You can get mostly the same delirious effect from eating whole nutmeg (which will last for days) or DPH

Oh god no, I tried it once and my mouth was so dry I couldn't even eat. And you get a brutal headache later.

And I think you haven't tired that devil's plant. If you drink too much of that tea you get hallucinations during days and "wake up" days later without remembering a thing.

Of course I haven't tried datura, much for the same reason I don't really want to make poppy tea. It's hard to tell how much of any given chemical is in plants. I've never heard of people making it into a tea though, I always thought they just ate the seeds.

I just had a cup of Hattialli golden lion, second flush.
Tastes like autumn. A very mildly sweet wooden flavour, if done properly it isn't bitter at all, very mellow with citrus fruit undertones.

But when It's prepared poorly, it gets really bitter and it sucks.

I normally just drink dark roast without any sugar or creamer. I was given a Keurig brewer as a gift so I just buy any cheap, but flavorful K-cups I can find. Some of the store brands are actually very nice.

Here done be some great instructions:
1. Buy some sencha or genmaicha. They're hard to fuck up. Lots of websites are listed in this thread.
2. Toss 'some' in a tea ball or a fancy ass teapot. Just a bit. Weigh it if you're some kind of faggot asshole.
3. Bring water to 70 or 80C, and pour it in.
4. Wait about 45 seconds. If the tea's in something white, color will just start to float out of from the tea. Like a halo or some shit.
5. Pour the tea. You're done man.

Health food stores tend to carry loose-leaf tea, and all you need is a tea ball which even normal grocery stores sometimes randomly carry (even though they don't carry the loose-leaf tea itself...makes a lotta sense, right? whee, oh well)

If you want to get adventurous and try yerba mate or something like that, get a "tea tumbler" with a fine mesh filter. Remember to pay attention though if you use it in the microwave, the filters tend to involve materials that're non-microwavable even when they're submerged in liquid so you need to take them out first. And don't ever microwave water all by itself in smooth glass, without some kind of tea material in it, it'll wait until you try to pick it up and then suddenly boil.

The negative effects of tea and honey depend entirely on how much you use, and you'd be surprised how a packet or two of sugar compares to the sugar content of something like soda. Unless you're going crazy absolutely crazy with the sugar, Tea tends to be a fairly healthy. The caffeine is also considerably less than a cup of coffee, if that's a concern to you.
