The thing I don't understand is, /jp/ is (and always has been) a board where appropriate content is decided by its users (``Japan/General'' and ``Otaku Culture'' don't mean shit).

If we can't criticise a low quality thread, what are we supposed to do? Use reporting as thread voting? Have a constant /q/ general where we point out threads we feel don't belong? Hope the janitor is connected to the /jp/ hivemind and always understands what's best for the board?
