Yeah I have seriously considered it but not sure how to go about it ... don't really have much experience and would really need assistance / to do some research.

My initial impressions from >>10418540 it seems you would really need a lot of pics / frames in a certain time period ... so in any event my pics are too "spread out" to make a decent enough time lapse that is presentable.

So really it seems the best option is to record the stream in order to achieve the required consistency ... once again need assistance / to do the research.

I'm not really sure if this is the best way to go about doing this but I just saved a bunch of screencaps a minute apart using a script and used ffmpeg to convert them all into a video stream.

Nope I miss most of the night time cam because of sleep and work. I get back home around the time the station lights turn on so I start up the stream again and leave it in the background to look at every now and then

Yeah same but I often play music over it so i can't hear the background noise and as such miss a lot of things.

What is your bandwidth usage like?

I think I left it on for around 11 hours straight once and I think with not much other downloads that it ended up to be around 6GB I think.
