I beat AT 2 this morning...

Felt many feels with Jacqli and her ending, the best one imo...
Croix singing with her was cool as HELL.

The ending got me hyped as HELL for the sequel but I don't own a PS3 feel sadfrog man.

Speaking of this. I'm about to beat AT1 for the first time soon. Misha is pretty amazing, but damn am I loving Shurelia's cosmosphere.

I was going to jump right into AT2, but I see there is a retranslation project active and they seem "almost" finished. Should I wait (months?) for this project to finish, or just play AT2?

Finished AT1 thanks to PCSX2 yesterday.

Graphics: Uh yeah, it's Gust...
Soundtrack: Good to Very Good (Mishas Purger anyone?)
Gameplay: To easy, makes fighting boring and a pain in the a... but I like the front row / Reyvateil System, sadly they become useless later in the game - 90% of the enemies died with 1 hit.
Big Plus for the Game, the interaction between Lyner and the girls. Diving into the Cosmospheres is nicely done and reminds of japanese Visual Novels. Not to mention the character development / backgrounds.
Story: Nothing special, predictable, but enjoyable.

Overall I would have given it 3/5 or so. There are just so many small flaws / gameplay decisions that make it feel like a waste of time. Why no real dungeons? Only these like 10 screens big maps... urg. Not to mention the mass of Save Points and Regeneration Points Slow and boring combat and way to fucking easy "boss battles". I never really felt like that I accomplished something in the game. The only thing that kept me playing was the interaction with Misha, Aurica and Shurelia. I really enjoyed the Cosmospheres and nightly talking. My way with the girls was "Ok, im going with Misha!" but I really started to like Aurica and the whole "building" her up thing. Until Shurelia appeared. Without that Suit and Bunny addiction... "Myu~ Myu~" HNNNG. To bad you couldn't hit on Hama. :ß

btw theres a Widescreen Patch for PCSX2, makes the game a bit more enjoyable. Now I'm off to Tales of Phantasia and after that maybe AT2.

The reason I sticked with WS was simply to see more, I really felt like... the game sticked to my face... to damn close.

Ar Tonelico 2 is one of my favourite jrpg - it has dull moments and the story is full of clichè here and there yet I loved it, and it has the best songs (THIS FUCKING SONG http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4oGdjaLmLqw))
Ar Tonelico was average, the story at the beginning is awful but it has a good setting.
The last part is good but I didn't like the character.
And at last Art Tonelico 3 is... well... disappointing as hell.
I only played it to finish the series and to strip the girls, but for me it was a plain trainwreck.

Another question if someone can help again, regarding BIOS. Will I run into problems if I select the USA bios? I got these three sets but the USA didn't include two files that the other two sets have. Or can the USA bios use the files from the other two?

And every time I just can't stand siding with her against Cloche.

I'm really interested in Ar Tonelico's game world and was hoping I could get a recommendation on which one would be most interesting to play! I'm, uh, not much of a moe kyun waifu type person, so I'd like to play one that keeps that aspect to a minimum, but the game world sounds really interesting! I-is there a game that goes into the world building part of it a lot..?

I'm hoping to play whatever you guys suggest on an emulator, if that influences your opinions any. T-thanks in advance!
