Kanako and Suwako are often portrayed as a team or even family.

But how is their relationship in reality? Kanako was an invader that beat the native and stole her land. She was only forced to let Suwako stay because people did not have faith in her abilities to control the curse gods.

Does Kanako truly value Suwako as a dear friend? Or is she just biding her time and doing all these various schemes to gather faith so she can backstab and dispose of Suwako once she is strong enough to dominate the realm without relying on her help?

Who would Sanae side with, her goddess or her ancestor?

>She was only forced to let Suwako stay because people did not have faith in her abilities to control the curse gods.

Why do people let doujins interfere with canon so much? Kanako beat Suwako by having one vine destroy Suwako's whole arsenal. When this happened, Suwako understood the difference in power and yielded. Kanako let Suwako stay at the shrine because she saw Suwako as an equal. Take that equality however you like.

Where did it say anywhere about Kanako viewing Suwako as an equal?

"However, the people of Moriya(洩矢) could not forget the fear of their native gods, Mishaguji, and were unable to accept their new god.

Kanako thought she could not gain the faith of the people, and gave up on making the kingdom hers...Kanako borrowed Suwako's powers, and silently ruled as the God of Mountains. "

And even though they're said to be friends now, Kanako still intentionally picked her symbol to be the snake because it eats the frog, to show her dominance over Suwako.

Oh god, I was absolutely sure I read in one of their profiles that Kanako viewed Suwako as an equal. I re-read them and found no such thing. I'm really sorry for going around spouting false information.

But then again, the answer to your first question is in one of the profiles as well:

>Why, you ask? Suwako is a god that takes the form of a frog, and snakes eat frogs. Rituals of the new kingdom included sacrificing frogs to state that "The Snake now rules this kingdom in place of the Frog."

>This is one reason why Suwako and Kanako argue a lot.

>They share common interests and are actually very good friends.

As for Sanae, I say she'd side with Suwako.

With all the power Suwako has, you have to wonder how Kanako managed to beat her.

I would not know about plans kanako but what if it is that sanae is more attached to Kanako because in fact recently learned that a relative of Suwako and Kanako she always saw as his true goddess

Kanako actually adapted the Snake symbol later specifically to brag and remind everyone that that she beat Suwako at all times, showing her dominance. She even cooked up a ritual for her followers to sacrifice frogs to her.

What the fuck happened to my text.

Even if it isn't canon, there's quite a few good doujinshi about their relationship.

Speaking that, I hope the second chapter of this gets edited soon. It's been translated for over a year.

Why don't you do it? Any idiot can edit, it just takes time, no skill. If you wait for others to do this and that, that will never happen.

Yeah, I just wanted to see if anyone else would do it on a whim before I started working on it.

Anyway, it has come to my attention that the original translator forgot to translate this page, would anyone be willing to translate it for me?
