Importing things is the epitome of being a weeaboo.

You can get cute things in the West. You are getting cute things from Japan just because they are from Japan. You can "B-B-But I don't care about the country!!!" all you like, but it's the same as buying Pocky when Kit Kat is just as delicious.

I really hope it's only a minority of you that actually does this.

Why does Japanese Kit Kat have so many flavours?

I live in the country where Kit Kat was created, and we have maybe two flavours (crunchy and less crunchy).

Japan seems to just have an obsession with a huge range of flavours of everything.

The last thing I imported from Japan was a couple of cds from my favorite band (Pe'z).
Prior to that, I have already imported a dvd from the same band and a couple of dvds from Tokyo ska paradise orchestra, another band I really appreciate.
I don't have any ``otaku" stuff except for just a few mangas (some Ranma and some Futari-H) in Portuguese and a single ecchi manga in Wapanese (also hidden).
You could say that I hide my "otakuness" from my family very well. Even ordinary non-shameful stuff such as the touhou games are very well hidden inside my computer. The only thing they know about obsessions is that I speak and write in moon language and love japanese films.
I'm sort of a in-the-closed otaku, you could say.

I always lurk but almost never post on /jp/ and I don't know what about your thread that made me write such a lengthy blog comment, but gratz OP.

>> No.10316751

I don't have much otaku stuff around. The last thing I bought was a Cirno nendoroid and some Touhou fanbooks.

Actually I have a funny story. When Oreimo DVD came out in the US I was happy but waited a bit thinking the price would drop. Instead, it sold the fuck out and I got pissed, but I ended up reverse importing a copy of the US release from Japan off Yahoo auction. The guy was selling alot of US releases for fairly cheap.

I imported way too much. Nearly couldn't fit it all into my bags.

This is pretty much all the stuff that was laying on my desk as I'm unpacking. Everything else is too めんどくさい to find and put into the picture. Though I might go find them later if I have time.
